I have been using a Keurig-style machine for a while. The per-pod cost and lower quality of coffee made me buy a refillable pod. I was buying pre-ground coffee, which is much better. Then I decided to bite the bullet and get a burr grinder and start grinding my own. I have tried several roasts from Brooklyn Roasters. So far they have all been delicious. UPDATE: I received a response from the Olde Brooklyn Coffee and they explained that the packing of the coffee for shipping is done by Amazon. They also offered to make things correct and I am grateful for that. I lived in Brazil and appreciate coffee from there. This roast is spot on for morning coffee that is distinct from the cafezinho that is akin to an afternoon espresso. Thanks to Emily at OBCC. Received coffee this afternoon. I love the flavor, and am upset that this is the second time I have received a package that was open. The beans had spilled some inside the Amazon shipping bag. To my taste, this is excellent coffee. Have tried numerous other Amazon offerings and this one is my permanent choice. It is sufficiently stout so you don’t need quite as much for a complex cuppa Joe. My hat is off to the folks at the Brooklyn Coffee Company. Great way to start the day.
