These worked perfectly on hotels.com website/app. Recommend setting up account first / logging in. When you go to the checkout page for your reservation, there will be a place to enter your gift card. You can only enter one per reservation but there is a button that will walk you through combining your gift cards. Unless you specify, they will all be combined on the first one. I would accept this as a gift anytime! Unless I can find a better hotel deal elsewhere, I always book through hotels. com website whenever possible, only because for the same price they also reward you (10 paid nights earns a free night). They also have "secret prices" if you're logged in that sounds like a gimmick but I've actually found it useful on my last stay. I saved money and could see all the hotel details (hotel name, exact location, policies and fees) before making my reservation and also kept the option to cancel if my plans changed. I love getting the discounted hotels.com gift cards whenever they are offered on Amazon. We buy these for our own use, not to gift. If you have multiple gift cards, you just go onto the hotels.com website to combine them into one before making your hotel reservation. We made a reservation using the gift card, but then later had to cancel, and hotels.com refunded the reservation with an e-gift card that we could later use, no big deal. ... show more

UPDATES: Also, be aware that using GC makes the booking ineligible for cashback on multiple portals. hotels.com cashback could easily be 15% or more and a CC could earn a few more % on top of that. Namely, by going that route, you don't need to commit your $$$ to hotels.com yet you could very well get similar or better deal than getting the hotels.com GC at a discount. -------------------------------------------------------- Original review: You can easily get these at a 10% to 20% discount almost during any month of the year from various retailers/warehouse store/credit card programs. Ever wonder why a 20% saving is so easy (while 20% off gift cards for a normal hotel chain like Marriott is certainly a once or less per year event and the cards will sell out in the first minute of being offered)? The reason is in the title, I fall for this trap and bought a few and I'm now trying to book an upcoming trip, and this GC which bears the name hotels.com, is usable at about maybe 5% of the available hotels listed on hotels.com. If you turn on the map view with paying by GC on hotels.com (i.e. search 'how to use hotels.com gift card), most of the green dots turns yellow (meaning they are available, but you can't use the gift cards, you have to pay hotels.com more using your credit card however many hotels.com gift cards you might have).
