The Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Wreckin' Wolf RC is on the prowl and ready for massive smashing and crashing. This truck was a big hit with my 7 year old grandson. He thought that the mutant wolf face on the hood was a bit scary, but he gladly took it home anyway. Pros: - Really nice graphics - Large wheels that roll over grass - Easy to use, steer and power with the remote - Fairly long range - Light enough that it won't cause any damage if used inside - Fairly long battery life ... but I didn't test it fully - Durable enough that you won't worry about it being broken by your 7 year old - He liked the wheelie function (button) but it only worked inside (see below) - I really liked that the remote tucked neatly underneath the truck when not in use Cons: - You have to supply AA batteries for the remote and find a small Phillips screw driver to access the compartment - The power switch is a bit hard to get to for a full-sized human, and since the color is the same as everything else on the bottom of the truck, it was difficult to find. - The truck had plenty of power and speed indoors on a hard wood floor. Outside, on the grass, it ran very differently. Much less traction, speed and power. I'm sure it would have run the battery down quickly outside - Will not wheelie in the grass - Unlike most "real" monster trucks, this one is only 2WD (rear wheel driven) so it won't climb over things easily I think this Mattel truck is a bit better quality than the other no-brand name remote vehicles. It is about the same price, so it represents (IMHO) a better value. ... show more

My wife and I were so excited to get this Hot Wheels monster truck for our five year old son because he loves all things with big wheels! He is absolutely obsessed with this remote control Wreckin Wolf truck and it is the perfect toy for him. The truck itself is a decent size at the one fifteenth scale and the bright green and purple colors look fantastic. The remote is nice and small which makes it easy for his little hands to hold and the controls are simple enough for him to understand. He has so much fun slamming on the gas and watching it do wheelies across the living room floor! The large off road tires function perfectly to give it plenty of grip on both our carpet and the hard floors. The build quality feels sturdy and durable which is important because he definitely bumps it into the furniture quite a bit while learning to steer. I love that it charges via a USB cable so we do not have to constantly replace batteries when it runs out of power. The wheelie stunt feature is definitely his favorite part and brings out the biggest laughs when he gets it balancing just right. This is a great value for an awesome remote control truck that keeps him entertained for hours! ... show more

I got this for my Grandson who loves everything cars and trucks. The control is perfect for his little hands. The truck moves great on hard surfaces and low pile carpet. It goes pretty quick and he loves how it can do wheelies. The truck is so much fun for him. The colors on the truck are nice and bright. It's also really nice that it does not require batteries. It comes with a USB charging cord, which is perfect! I think it is worth the cost of the truck. Plenty of hours of use. ... show more

This Hot Wheels wolf monster truck was lots of fun for the kids. The 11-year old took to it immediately, found it very easy to use, and was able to control it beautifully. He said it is like other remote control vehicles and was impressed with the handling. The truck itself has a USB cord for charging and came fully charged. The remote takes two AAA batteries. The truck worked for about 20 minutes before needing to be recharged. The charging took an hour or two. The stunt button just makes the truck do wheelies. Our young handler said he could do the tricks just as well with the other control buttons, so he was not particularly impressed with the stunt button. It was fun to watch the truck careen all over the yard being skillfully controlled by the 11 year old. It held up well to crashing into walls, doors, and cat bowls when Grandma tried to drive it. This seems to be a quality toy for the price that will hold up well to frequent use. ... show more

This monster truck feels a little lightweight and inexpensive in terms of construction, but it ended up being much more fun than I expected. My kids played with it every day for several days and especially enjoyed doing wheelies and driving it over different surfaces. The controls are simple enough for kids to figure out quickly, and the oversized tires help it handle bumps and transitions between carpet and hard floors pretty well. I also really like that the truck has a built-in rechargeable battery with an attached USB charging cable. There's no tiny rechargeable battery pack to remove from the truck or lose, which makes charging much easier. The battery lasts about 20-30 min of constant usage though YMMV Overall, the materials aren't particularly premium, but where it matters—as a fun RC toy—it delivers. wow this little monster truck rips. the truck is so much fun wigth automatic wheelies at any time. The truck sits on monster sized tires. The graphics on the body are awesome this thing is a fun monster truck and the kids love it. We have been having so much fun with the kids while using it. I love that it is made by hot wheels the kids have been obsessed with hot wheels and when they saw the hot wheels name on the Rc they loved it and cant get enough of it. The toy has a built in battery and takes a little over an hour to charge but seems to last forever. This thing is so much fun and entertains the kids so well I am happy get to recommend this and at a the time of this review it is on sale for 37 dollars and worth every cent. ... show more
