Both a fuel system cleaner and a powerful cetane booster, our EDT+ Winter Defense also contains LX4 lubricity additive, a keep-clean detergent package and de-icer chemicals. It's not exactly arctic where I live, but it does fall below freezing. This appears to be exactly the same formula as EDT but with the anti-gel additive. My Cummins 6.7 runs smoother with this additive and I get a slight bump in MPG. While I can't exactly measure it, I do feel like my engine has slightly more power. I normally use Hotshot's Secret Every Day Treatment (EDT) in my diesel pickup. We don't get a lot of really cold weather except occasionally. I use this during winter here. Last week, it went to 7°F and this kept the fuel from gelling up. I had been using this for about 2 weeks to make sure the entire fuel system was treated. It worked. I especially like the measurement cup so you can get the correct amount into the tank before fueling up. Definitely recommend. ... show more

During the process, engine builder suggested this additive to increase the lubrication of the diesel fuel system and reduce stress on regulator among many other positives. Winter defense is a premier fuel additive. It makes my L5P run excellent in freezing temps. I’ve always had a cold stumble at about 1500 rpm when below operating temperature, but since running this product I’ve not had any issues. I’m not sure if it’s the Cetane boost doing the trick or not, but regardless I do know that my performance has improved significantly when using this product. I also use a slightly higher dose than recommended on the bottle. Also, my injectors are happy with the added lubricants. 5 stars…..g ... show more
