I got two of these for some little cousins for xmas and I know they are going to love it! The motion of the wheels, the headlight, the steam, and the sounds! I included a video so you can see it in action (I put water in and batteries to make sure it worked before wrapping)! I only put a bit of water in as it's going to be wrapped, but the train seems to hold a good amount of water when full, so I'd be mindful if the train ends up on it's side after it's played with, as I am sure it's not a water tight reservoir and could possibly leak on the floors. We ran it for a bit to hear the sounds and how changeable they are. If it's too loud, I always just put a piece of tape on the speaker to muffle it a bit. Also the train continued to work fine after our cat kicked it!🤣 ... show more

Arrived missing battery compartment needed to insert batteries. Useless without. This was a Xmas present, my son was disappointed. If you get this as a present make sure it has all its parts before wrapping. I'm going to try to exchange and hopefully this won't happen twice. Amazing! Bought the upgraded one with the remote and my train- obsessed grandson loves it! He just turned 3 yesterday and manages it beautifully. Smoke is excellent touch. Seems like it will hold up well. Pretty solid. I would think this would be great for 3-6 year old.
