The Traxxas Sledge is awesome! Its wide stance, 4-wheel drive and low center of gravity mean that it handles like a dream and drifts rather than spins out when you put the power down! Stock gearing tops out at 50 MPH (verified with GPS). An 18-tooth pinion and a 46-tooth spur gear tops out at 67 MPH (also verified with GPS - see attached picture). Maybe I should try the 19-tooth pinion to see if I can hit 70+ MPH?!?!? With the 18/46 gearing, it still wheelies from a standstill, so I think it could handle 19/46! I do have the optional motor cooling fan installed to help with the additional heat generated by the taller gears. Plus it's one tough mother! I've abused it pretty good and still haven't broken anything yet! ... show more
