    • Labor intensive 2-3 people needed.
Took 8 hours to put together and in the end, a manufacturer defect caused the bottom draws not to fit together correctly.

    • A PAIN TO BUILD
The ONLY reason why I'm giving this two stars is because the end product looks nice (1 star) and is what it describes (1 star). After my second day of building this ridiculous contraption, I would've returned it and asked for a full refund, except it's too heavy (maybe this is how this company gets your money!). This bookshelf took me two DAYS build because the instructions were just useless!!!! This is not my first time building office furniture, but it's the first time it's taking me two days. At first glance, the instructions provide clear steps, but I noticed beginning at step one, I was left questioning, "This doesn't seem right. What's missing? What don't I understand." This is followed by, "This can't be right?" After multiple times having to undo multiple steps, I realized the instructions lack the nuance that is actually needed to not tear your hair out, or make you start drinking. Normally, there is a YouTube or something online that can help you from somebody who has built this before, but evidently I am the only person on this earth to have built this because there is nothing out there. If you get this, you definitely need two people, especially for steps 23 on (but the instructions don't talk about the extra person until later). As nice as the end product is, I would neither buy this again, nor buy anything from this company again. ... show more

    • deceptively cheap
It looks nice if you don't get too close but the materials are so cheap, like noticeably cheaper than Ikea/Target/Walmart furniture. Some of the backboard pieces were damaged in the corners/edges when they arrived. I didn't want to bother trying to return/replace anything because I just don't see how they could come out undamaged from shipping and packing when they're that flimsy. Also the directions for building it have you turning the unit over and over and over in a way that I don't think is great for materials this cheap. It would make more sense to build from the ground up probably. But it is what it is. It looks fine ultimately and it's holding my things so I can't complain too much. ... show more
