Ive had an idiopathic neuropathy for the past 5 years or so for which I was prescribed Lyrica. I originally purchased this product over a year ago for my husband, who has dementia. Because of the nature of his disease, I couldn't tell if it was doing anything, so I started to use it myself - just one capsule/day. After a couple of weeks, I noticed that my recall was faster than it had been. When I explained this to my daughter, she did some research and decided on a different brand. Based on her research, which had something to do with the extraction method, I switched to capsules by Real Mushrooms and soon started to feel my recall slow down again.     • I had pretty high hopes for this product
My mom has had Multiple Sclerosis for years, and has been unable to move her legs; she's been confined to a scooter for about 9 years. After years of trying to cure her and feeling hopeless and in despair, I finally stumbled upon an alternative medicine book that explained the positive effects that Lion's Mane can have on MS patients. It apparently helps with cognitive function, but more importantly in my mom's case, nerve regeneration. I decided to order these capsules for my mom almost a month ago, and I thank the creator and seller of these capsules from the bottom of my heart. My mom has recently started to move her legs (while she's asleep; I take care of her and when I get her up in the morning, her legs will be in different positions, and sometimes bent in a totally 90 degree angle!). She can even now wiggle her toes a little bit, as she was unable to to this for years. I had pretty high hopes for this product, and it surpassed my expectations so far! I am so grateful; it has only been about a month of her using Lion's Mane and to see these noticeable changes makes my heart glow. I can tell my mom is much happier, and she knows that she is healing, largely because of this product in my opinion. The only con I can think of for this product is that it's a little pricey for us. **Taken in conjunction with a plant based diet and Vitamin D supplement (by Nordic Naturals)** No one has existed who is more skeptical than me about 'snake oil'. I laugh when I walk past the aisles of "herbal medicines". I snark at people who have supplements lined up in their kitchen to take on a daily basis. I scoff at products not approved by the FDA. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT when it was mentioned that I should try this product. First of all, I have MS. Second of all, I changed my diet to a plant-based diet to help improve my quality of life several months ago. I was doing much better. The garbage that is processed food - well, we are just poisoning our health IMO. So, why bother with Lion's Mane if I am doing better? Because I wanted help with nerve support. I wanted memory support and I wanted the beneficial effects alleged by this mushroom. Most of all, I was under pressure from my spouse to give this product a try based on his research. I finally succumbed to the pressure. I couldn't wait to tell him that this product was garbage and that it did nothing for me. I took a capsule (just one) each day. I was so eager to laugh in his face and jab at him repeatedly how he had wasted our money. I was crafting my put-downs in my mind. My sarcasm was crushed with the results. I was simply, plainly wrong. For someone who got up at 7 in the morning, I was typically exhausted by 1 pm. After a few days of this Lion's Mane, I was doing jumping jacks at 2 am. And I don't even like jumping jacks given my large bosom! But I just felt............fantastic! I am energized, focused, clear-minded, feeling positive. And let me tell you, I am renovating the house and feeling down about events in the world so it is not like I am in some happy place. While I was mostly interested in possibly repairing nerve damage from Belles Palsey. But what I've really noticed, almost immediately, was the improvement in mental clarity! Has helped with my anxiety, depression, foggy racing thoughts have "cleared" and my mind has settled, yet much clearer and controlled. I won't spend money on something again unless it has a very positive effect on me. Reordered more last week! Very impressed! Very satisfied. Would never buy another brand! Doesn't get better than Host Defense Lions Mane. Thanks Paul Staments!!! Have been taking for quite some time now and I feel this is the best Lions Mane product out there. Pure Mycelium!
