I lost count on how many RC vehicles we own as a family. This one looked pretty slick, so we went ahead and ordered one. I have to say that owning several other cars from this seller, we were not disappointed! The build quality is very good! Great styling and graphics look cool! The kit includes everything you need to go from box to fun except (3) AA batteries.. The rechargable lipo battery pack takes about 2 hours to fully charge with the included USB charger cord. You will need to use an existing USB charger block from a smartphone or a portable power bank to charge the battery. The transmitter is a no frills but nicely made unit with digital steering trim to align the steering on the fly and a knob for making adjustments to the truck top speed - cool! Performance of this truck is pretty amazing considering the price! In a word, FAST! We like the fact that we can dial down the speed so even the young ones can have some fun with this one! Once they got the hang of it, we can dial up the speed in increments as skills evolve. Included instructions are clear and easy to understand and include a parts list and exploded view diagrams for easy repairs.     • Durable and well rounded starter car. Having a blast!
I picked this up a couple days ago and it's been a ton of fun. I looked at more expensive models but I couldn't decide. This one has waterproof bits and while it only had a few reviews, all were 5 stars. I've been using it to play with my dogs and it has indeed proven to be durable (a boxer (65 lbs) and a boxer mix (80lbs.) They've tumbled it a few times and it's just taken the spills and rolls without a hitch. It zips great through a few inches of grass and was fine in grass after it rained (although it did require a fair amount of cleaning.) It's much zippier in the driveway. The most trouble I had with it was figuring out the proper way to pair the remote with the car but it was super easy and I hadn't read the manual. Anyway, it's really great. It's durable so far, and the price wasn't going to break the bank. I'm 40-something and it's way more fun than any RC car I've had in the past. I definitely suggest buying some backup cotter pins they have for sale here ($5 for 50 of them) as I have lost one so far in about 5 uses (but to be fair, the dogs did try to murder it.) ... show more

    • Good starter - waterproof’ness is lacking
Says water proof but hard to tell where. Shocks aren’t sealed so driving on snow/ice/shallow puddles will result in grit getting in them and they will need cleaned. Once a bit of melted snow cause the wheels to always turn right. We dabbed the connection with a q-tip and this solved the problem. Otherwise it’s fairly durable and a good starter car. The 4wd really makes this car fun for my 8 year old. He’s able to speed through the snow and tear through the grass and leaves. ... show more

My wife and I were looking for some RC fun and found it with the Hosim line of racing cars. Quality product, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I just bought two for me and my daughter to Play with and they work great. If you buy multiples as long as you turn the remote on and the car and let in sync you can turn the second car on and let it sync and can race them around and they have plenty of power. Cool toys!

My boys absolutely love it (6/4). Arrived with steering issues, but a quick email to Hosim and they had the part in the mail within a day - world class customer service! Beware this truck is FAST and if you aren’t careful your kids will turn the speed up and until it breaks.

I bought the blue truck for my son and he loved it. I wanted one so I bought a different brand that was supposed to be better and faster. I returned it after driving it once and got the Hosim buggy version. It's perfect! So much fun! We have had no issues at all with Hosim products and their customer service is amazing and fast! My son's battery wasn't lasting very long. Hosim sent a better battery next-day for it. I learned my lesson. I will only buy Hosim RC cars. ... show more
