This RC is one of the most fun RC’s I have ever driven. It is super quick, and super unique! This RC truck has fully adjustable oil filled shocks, the most cooling I have ever seen on an RC from factory! The engine has a heat sync as well as a fan on top and even the ECU has its own heat sync. Fastest I’ve seen an RC cool after running two batteries back to back and going hard on the throttle for most of the use. The battery set-up with the built in click in system is awesome! I wish all RC’s had this battery set up. You get two batteries with this one and a fast USB charger. Each battery lasted me 20 minutes each, full throttle and only take apx. 2 hours to charge, each instead of 6-8hrs for normal USB charged batteries. This truck is super controllable and handles well. It will still flip if you corner too fast (but I had the shocks all the way up and “soft” as well). I can’t wait to try this thing out with the shocks tight “stiffened” and get more speeds in an open parking lot on cornering. Definitely recommend installing the wheelie bar before use and tightening those lugs up. You will be using the wheelie bar! Love the remote… super easy to drive one handed. It has the option to turn on and off the LED light in front. Steering trim adjustment, and you can turn on the truck at 70% power or flip it all the way to 100%. It wheelies and is quick either way. Of coarse 100% is more fun and holds wheelies for longer. Everything on this truck seems to be built SUPER SOLID!!! This will be my take everywhere truck! Perfect size for easy transport. I had someone approach me as I was ripping it in a park and ask about it and instantly added it to her shopping cart after asking which model it was. Highly recommend this RC. DEFINITELY GET ONE!!!! This is a fantastic RC car. It is FAST, make sure to put the wheelie bar on. This does NOT have the GPS kit. In the picture you can see it says GPS. What it actually is showing is the GPS kit as an add-on. The remote is OK, I wish it was the same remote that the GPS enabled units have. That one has the variable max speed control. The remote that comes with the HB17 only has the 70% and 100% for max speed control. The throttle trigger is variable, so you can go super slow, or super fast. This is NOT for a beginner. My 11 year old can control it pretty well on 70%, but it’s definitely not for indoor use. It does a great job off-road but tends to bunny hop in the grass when using it at the 100% setting. There are some spare parts available on Amazon, but Hosim has all the parts available on their website. EDIT: Bezgar also has all the parts available for this car, including the GPS kit for $50. Just search for the HP161S on their site. I’m not sure the relationship between Hyper-Go, Bezgar and Hosim, but from what I can tell, this is a rebranding of the Hyper-Go cars. Great buy for the money. Just wish it had the GPS kit in it.

The new x27-e mini 1/8 is awesome. Comes with 2 3s 2600 Mah 30C rating lipos extra wheel nuts Clips 3S USB charger. Truck has nice Big Bore shocks thick aluminum chassis super heavy duty front bumper as usual with hosim 60 amp ESC with built-in cooling fan also cooling fan on motor Center diff. Steering is nice and snappy has extra port to run LEDs which I plan on doing. The shock could probably use a little bit of oil and the tires are a bit on the hard side but it's still Hooks and books. No assembly required all you got to do is charge up the batteries throw some Double A's in the remote and let it rip . Can't wait to throw some paddles on and take it down to the beach and see what it can do . Awesome truck super fun the remote also has speed dial so you can work your way into the speed I'm about 5 mph all the way up to about 45. I highly recommend it. Definitely grab a while it's on sale

The frame and rear diff cover both broke allowing the motor to shift away from the pinion gear. Never jumped, no hard crashes. The plastic just snapped. Maybe I got a defective model. Reached out to hosim using 3 different customer service emails provided on their website, also reached out on facebook. Got no response. Kinda sucks to spend over a hundred dollars on something that broke less than 3 battery packs in. The parts that are broken aren't available on their site so nothing I can do.

Back in the 80's I was happy with a RC car that only had auto steering built in for reverse right...Since having kids of my own I have bought them a few chain store RC's here and there but I didn't realize if I spent like 50 bucks more how extreme the jump in power/durability was...Anyways my youngest must have seen a video on youtube and told me he wanted the GPS version for xmass...After getting him one i took it out to charge it up and right away was surprised at the major quality difference from the chain store junk...Just holding the truck I would have thought it costed 100's of dollars...Couldn't wait till we got to drive it...When we did he drove 20mph into a brick wall more than once plus we both had other newbie crashes that I though would have ended the trip...Only damage was a missing headlight cover...After we drove both batteries dead bashing it I went home and ordered myself the brushless version of the same truck lol...This one got too much power for its frame...I feel like its hovering or barely touching the ground its so extreme...I got a better remote for it too since the stock one just feels cheap...Now that I can change the steering settings its much easier to control too...Still we drive them both hard almost daily even in the snow...The damages on both so far is the GPS version is missing the headlight cover,has one broken light, and some plastic below the front left shock chipped off...The damages on the brushless version is a broken servo saver, broken rear body post, 2 small cracks in front left wheel, and popped the screws out on the steering linkage a few times...Despite the damages (easy fixes) and cheap remote I love the thing already so 5 stars on fun alone...Only regret is that it got me looking at Traxxas and Arrma vehicles that I cannot afford :(
