The media could not be loaded. This truck is a fun entry level brushless 1:16 truck. It wheelies, does good donuts and has super grippy tires! It does flip quite a bit, it should come with a wheelie bar with this type of power. Recommend buying a wheelie bar for it! This will be my next purchase along with it and I believe it will handle better over all not flipping back (unless this is what you like, I do have fun with it as is as well). It does have awesome oil-filled shocks which are completely adjustable. The body on this RC truck is unique and comes with body and roof skid bars. Love how it comes with two 1500mah batteries. Plenty of fun and runtime. It also has a 70% power and 100% power mode options via remote on switch as well as a bright light bar that can be off or on while running. I do wish the range from the remote control was greater (the truck could go farther from the remote). Overall a great little truck with a lot of bang for this price! Definitely somewhere at the top for bang for buck and its way ahead of most RC’s within this price range as of technology. This HB27 model RC is a close smaller brother to the HB17. Cheaper version of the MJX hypergo, same chassis, same driveline, same servo, only difference is integrated esc/receiver. The one real flaw I found was hesitation on startup, it takes a second to move, then shoots off like a rocket. To remedy this I decided to upgrade to a 2845 motor for more torque. To my surprise, I found that the motor in it was not a 2838 at all, but a smaller 2425 outrunner motor glued into a 2838 inrunner case. Even with that little flaw, this truck is a beast, durable and easy to handle as far as 1/16 overpowered cars go. I upgraded the tires, motor, and changed to a redcat volcano 16 body, and I am extremely pleased with the results. Check your steering linkage and shock mounting screws before and after your first run, they may not have been fully tightened at the factory and have a tendency to back out if such is the case. ... show more

This is a splendid remote control truck at a great price point. This truck is perfect for someone new to the hobby or a child wanting to learn about remote control vehicles. The truck is loaded with great features like oil filled shocks and a fast brushless motor. It comes with 2 batteries so you have plenty of play time. The truck comes with everything you need to start driving the truck. If something breaks you can simply order a replacement part which makes this a hobby grade vehicle. Overall great only thing I’d like different about this little truck is if the sway bars control arms were metal. I purchased a kit around 70$ upgraded my sons. He loves it and so do I no issues great buy. Just wish you could buy replacement shells for this ride. Have recommended friends and family on this one thanks guys ... show more

This thing is so much fun. I like it more than my Hosim x17 1:8 scale. I guess I had a faulty rear diff because it stripped out within a month. I reached out to hosim support. Sent them some picture of what broke and they sent new parts no charge. I’ve had it about a month since then and have been running it pretty hard. This truck it pretty durable! More than the x17 for sure. Great handling. It’s really over powered which makes it even more fun. And the 2 batteries it comes with last plenty long enough! I’ll be buying another one soon! ... show more

    • Mixed bag
The media could not be loaded. Got on sale for $70 (have seen on sale between 80-90 regularly). Ended up returning due to delay from reverse to forward seen in video. Support didn’t get back to me for a week so I just returned it but see below for review of the week I had it: On pavement: It has really nice grippy tires which seems nice, but to be honest it ends up being a detriment because its stance is shorter, narrower, and just taller than most 1/16 trucks. When you pair that with the speed/torque this truck has, it can’t drift around because it pulls the front tires up to much at low speed, and pushes them to much at high speed. It will wheely flip right off the go which is cool at the start, but not too fun after the first couple drives because you keep having to put it back on its wheels. If you do get it sideways, it cartwheels because the tires have so much grip. It does alright off road, but could stand to be a touch wider/taller for much more than short grass or dirt. As long as your not in anything too tall it’s fun, but if you are in tight quarters and want to go between forward and reverse it’s hard because the delay seen above and how “on/off” throttle is (it doesn’t like to go slow). In spite of that it was still fun enough just due to the build quality, durability, and dirt driving experience, but I ended up returning it due to the delay seen in the video when switching from reverse to forward as well as it shutting off in about 10 min when using it hard (overtemp safety I’m guessing because once it cooled it turned on and ran fine again). I contacted support on Amazon and Facebook who both sent me to their service email to see if I had a fault causing the delay, but after sending video and a week of waiting I never heard back and returned it. Again, well built, but I found another truck on sale for basically the same price that didn’t have these problems and is 3S capable… I would get cheaper harder tires and wheel spacers to make this truck a lot more fun… but at that added cost your in the $150 rc range that is 3S capable and doesn’t need these add ons as much… hence the 3 stars for the over all truck rating (paired with having a problem) ... show more

    • Impossible to upgrade.
I'll never buy a Hosim again. This was purposely engineered to keep you from upgrading motors. The motor shaft and mounting holes are drilled offset so no other motors can be installed regardless of the pinion you try to use. If you want a slow 2s truck, meh go for it. But there are better options out there. ... show more
