  • Went 3s out of the box no problem
Color: Red
This is a fast little truck. On 2s it’s pretty quick but 3s it’s ridiculous. It’s a bit much for it. Can’t full throttle it it just flips over. I have yet to full speed it even at the proving grounds cause it screams. 2s is a bit more manageable and I think is proper for this rig. No oil in the shocks but can be oiled filled. If your running 3s before you add oil go ahead and get some clear tubing and lower it down some. Way to top heavy and roll happy on every curve on street. And I would get a program card and tune the throttle. And the brake force. It will flip front wards at speed also. Accelerations is to much right out of the gate. Grips hard. Hard to get this to donut. Even in dirt. Wheelie bars provided don’t really help it none. On 2s it’s efficient. 3s flips right over. I’ve ran 2 1500mah 3s battery hard in the dirt and grass and no explosion or excessive heat. It did get warm tho. I’ve strapped a massive weight to the front to keep it down and even that didn’t help. Love this truck. I bought my daughter the Arrma senton boost the lime green one and this is like it’s little brother. I even got the matching light bar on top. Anyone can be happy with the 2s provided. Fast and manageable but when you want more. 3s will run just fine…. Well the motor and electronics can handle it. The weight and size of the truck. Might be to much. I haven’t clocked it yet but my guess is 20 25 on 2s 35 40 on 3s but this is just a guess. The shell for a basher sucks. But you can rhino line the inside or I went straight wet layed carbon fiber on the inside to make it more rigid. And the provided pins SUCKS. I only run 2 on it cross from each other and I loose one almost every ride. And front light bar never worked. I tried opening it resolder nothing worked. My 11.1v burnt it up. If that’s so it was worth the sacrifice ... show more

  • Unreal how powerful these got since I was a kid
Color: Red
Back in the 80's I was happy with a RC car that only had auto steering built in for reverse right...Since having kids of my own I have bought them a few chain store RC's here and there but I didn't realize if I spent like 50 bucks more how extreme the jump in power/durability was...Anyways my youngest must have seen a video on youtube and told me he wanted the GPS version for xmass...After getting him one i took it out to charge it up and right away was surprised at the major quality difference from the chain store junk...Just holding the truck I would have thought it costed 100's of dollars...Couldn't wait till we got to drive it...When we did he drove 20mph into a brick wall more than once plus we both had other newbie crashes that I though would have ended the trip...Only damage was a missing headlight cover...After we drove both batteries dead bashing it I went home and ordered myself the brushless version of the same truck lol...This one got too much power for its frame...I feel like its hovering or barely touching the ground its so extreme...I got a better remote for it too since the stock one just feels cheap...Now that I can change the steering settings its much easier to control too...Still we drive them both hard almost daily even in the snow...The damages on both so far is the GPS version is missing the headlight cover, has one broken light, and some plastic below the front left shock chipped off...The damages on the brushless version is a broken servo saver, broken rear body post, 2 small cracks in front left wheel, and popped the screws out on the steering linkage a few times...Despite the damages (easy fixes) and cheap remote I love the thing already so 5 stars on fun alone...Only regret is that it got me looking at Traxxas and Arrma vehicles that I cannot afford :( ... show more

  • Best Brushless RTR on Amazon, 6 stars!
Color: Red
This is a great brushless car. It's built on the very well made MJX Hyper Go 1/16th chassis, which itself is a knockoff of the best RCs on the market. The parts are excellent with metal drives, bb throughout, CVDs and locknut wheels, oil shocks (and oil hadn't leaked out), and red sleeved 4200kv 2845 motor. It is very fast, although not as fast as advertised (which is fine, more speed = more break-able). The transmitter is hands down far superior to the regular MJX, which has plasticy, cheap sliding buttons. The receiver is a separate unit, meaning you can more easily upgrade the system without replacing all the electronics. Has a 3-wire servo (which is good). I also love the inclusion of a 2nd body. Super smart, as bodies do get scratched and banged up. Plus, it can be fun to switch up the colors. Extra shells run 10-20 bucks extra. Tires treads are a great compromise between off-road and on-road traction, and shouldn't go bald as quickly as other patterns. The hard-shell batteries are also a very good thing for kids. Many RC batteries are soft-shell lipos, and can be dangerous if pierced by something like a screwdriver. The only downside to hard-shell batteries is that higher quality balance chargers don't fit them because of the recessed plug/case, and require an extension cable. At this price point, I can't say enough positive things about this RC, and I've bought a handful of this type. It's an improvement in every way over even the similar MJX Hyper Go cars. A warning though, I'm specifically reviewing the *brushless* car with the hex pattern chassis and hard batteries. Hiosim has other cars that are very, very different. If you are having trouble finding replacement parts, search MJX 16027. If it's not here, check that one auction site, or that one chinese 2 month shipping site (Ali's espresso). One other useful thing to know about the numbers of 16027 16 is scale (1/16) 02 is version number (2 is latest, parts from 1 also work, but some are plastic) 7 is body style (7,8,9,0 are all the same chassis, different bodies) Check out that 'You' video site for lots and lots of helpful videos if you run into trouble. ... show more
