Been running it out in the yard and drive way, very sturdy been jumping it and spinning it around alot. Battery life is what they claim. After use in mud, snow or any wetness you'll want to take the shell off and give it a good wipe down. I'm one of those people who will spend hours reading others reviews and still has a hard time making the final purchase decision. I wanted an RC truck for my son for his 7th birthday. I've tried some drones with him and all have been disappointments, so I wanted something he could drive and use without help, which would actually work. I ordered this truck even though it had a few negative reviews. It arrived and the first thing I noticed was the very light / flimsy body. I was expecting something a little heavier duty. I quickly figured out the reason behind this is you have to remove the body to change the battery. Under the body the frame is sturdy and the suspension works well. My son loved this right out of the box. He got it at night so drove it all over the house crashing into everything while he learned to control it. The next day we took it outside where we built jumps and mud holes to drive it through. The truck is very fast so takes a little getting used to driving, but did great. We have also driven it wide open across open fields and climbed dirt mounds, all which it did well. So after a week of 7 year olds use, here are my observations. Be sure to order the extra hood pin package. The ones that came with it popped out quickly. The ones from the extra package hold better, but you will still lose some if you crash much. Buy extra batteries. I purchased one extra but should have gotten 2. They only last 10-12 minutes each and are slow to recharge. They are also very difficult to plug and unplug, but stay in place once you get them in. I did reach out to the company to make sure I was ordering the correct second battery and they were very prompt with their response. I would have actually given the truck 5 stars if the body was a little sturdier and the battery easier to change. ... show more

Bought this truck for my 8 year old. Wow! I didn’t expect it to rip and shred. This little truck is awesome for the money. Only came with one battery so I ordered the updated battery 2 pack with 300 more mah on Amazon. I’ll list it at the end if your interested. The new batteries not only extended the run time by about 8-10 minutes but it made a dramatic increase in power. It was already plenty powerful, and now keeps up with his brothers 9.6v 1:12 scale. The lights work great as a visual cue a night. it has no problem ripping through 6 inch tall grass or leaf piles in the yard. The build quality is great compared to another $90 dollar truck built by GP toys that we own. Nothing has broken on this truck yet surprisingly as he’s managed to ram it into just about every tire in our driveway. The following is the replacement/upgraded batteries I bought to use with this truck. This is the 2nd car I have bought for my kids.. Its amazing fast, super durable... Its 10x better anything I had as a kid growing up... But what sets this company apart is there customer service.. I had an issue with one of them i purchased for my daughter, They responded fast and sent parts. The first time they accidently sent the wrong parts (its not their fault it was hard to tell from the pictures honestly) but after emailing them back they put new ones in the mail. There are few products now that are not throw away, especially toys. Not only is the engineering and quality excellent, but even fewer companies have good customer service if any at all.. I am going to get an even faster one for myself, I am team Hosim.. i just wish they had planes and drones too... ... show more

I absolutely love this car. It was one of the first I got (branded as MJX Hyper Go), and to this day the only thing that has broken has been a wheel hub. I was able to glue it for a "good enough" fix. It's great for a first car, for someone young, or if you want to drive in a smaller space. We had a great race in the living room the other day. Pros: - Super fun to drive. Responsive and will wheelie. - Lots of metal parts. The driveshafts are insanely thick. - Plastic is great quality. Haven't had any breakage. - Body is very durable - no cracks at all. Cons: - It's pretty slow compared to a brushless model - Radio transmitter is not the greatest quality - That's basically it. ... show more
