  • Precise control at your fingertips - This hobby rc car features a 3kg torque servo for quick, accurate steering whether high-speed cornering or dodging obstacles on rough terrain. 150m range with adjustable speed, easy for beginners and kids. • Important NotesHosim is always committed to developing more professional racing models for customers. Due to the extremely high speed of this off-road rc car, to extend its service life, please avoid maintaining full throttle continuously for more than 20 minutes, as this may cause the ESC and other components to overheat. • Outstanding car that really takes the abuse well!
For what I'd consider an entry level hobby grade car, this is a real winner! It's got ball bearings, metal gears, aluminum hub carriers and spindles, oil filled shocks, two batteries, lights, and a lexan body. To test this, I charged both batteries and took it over to a friend's house and we both ran it rather hard to see how well it would hold up. It really did well, and after bashing it rather hard in his front yard, driveway, and the street out in front of his house through both 2S batteries and one 3S battery (yes, it's designed to take 3S as well), it was still going strong with no signs of problems. This thing is incredibly durable. We jumped it over curbs, driveways, and anything else we could find, and it was steady and stable on the ground and in the air. Landings were solid with no signs of bouncing or control issues. This isn't a car I'd recommend for younger kids, at least not without adult supervision until they're used to it. And certainly not on anything more than the stock battery. With a 3S battery on concrete, this car has enough speed and power that it wants to spin out if you're a bit heavy on the throttle. But it's fast and fun no matter what you're wanting to do. Even on 2S, this car is tons of fun, in spite of it's not setting any speed records. The car handled grass and gravel well, and was just as easy to drive on concrete as well. So as long as you're not trying to drive it through something that's tall enough that you can't see where you are, you should be fine. If I had to find anything on this model to pick on, it would be the battery straps. When I unpacked the car from the box, both batteries were packed inside the car itself with the battery straps holding them in. Once I removed one of the batteries, the straps were way too long and hung down outside of the left side of the body. I pulled enough of the truck apart to turn the straps around the other way so that the loose ends were inside the truck after installing the battery, so that I didn't have to cut the straps. That way, if I decide to use a taller battery later on, I can still do it without having to compromise on installing it. But honestly, if this is the only issue I found after trying to work the truck hard and see where the weak points were through three battery packs, then I don't see any reason to complain. The price on this is right in the same range as one of the entry level tiny rock crawlers from the major brands, and this model is not only larger but also more durable. So if you're looking for something you can have tons of fun with at home and away, this is a great way to go! ... show more

  • This car has stood up to everything I have put it through so far. This car has stood up to everything I have put it through so far.
60KM/H Brushless RC Car for Adults & Kids, 1/14 Fast Hobby RC Trucks 4WD Off Road RC Car, All Terrain Electric Remote Control Car, Waterproof RC Short Course Truck Toy Gift for Kids Age 8+ First impressions: Nice average sized rc car with remote. It comes with two rechargeable batteries for the car but will need 4 AA batteries for the remote (not included). The car is ready to use, simply add the batteries and turn it on. There are lights in the body that need to be plugged in to work, with a two prong connector. Installation/setup: Charge battery before using with included charger or another battery charger with the correct hookups and ratings. Install the batteries in the car and the remote. Turn both on and use the trigger for forward, brake, and reverse. Final thoughts: It has a protective plastic coating on the car body that should be removed but the skid plates are on top of it so I will wait to take the coating off when I have more time. I have a 1/10 car from another brand I paid about 100$ more for and I would say this car is almost as fast just on the included batteries. I think the shocks are not quite as effective as my other car but they do provide some cushion. I use my cars for bashing, running fast, and going over jumps. This car has stood up to everything I have put it through so far. I did manage to crack the body by missing the jump and landing on the roof but it still ran with no hiccups. The batteries last about 20 minutes each and must be recharged after cooling. I like this car, I call it the baby because it’s smaller but it keeps up with the big boys lol. ⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality. ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend. ... show more

  • Overgeared with many flaws. A diamond after lots of polishing. Overgeared with many flaws. A diamond after lots of polishing.
This little RC car is an interesting option for those that want to get started in the hobby. I personally think it has quite a few design limitations or flaws. This includes the use of crosshead screws throughout instead of hex head. These types of screws are generally lower quality and can strip easier. In the RC hobby, almost everything uses hex head screws. The other issue is the design of the battery tray. With the included batteries, the tray requires modification to get the battery to sit properly. There isn't enough room for the leads. The controller is on the budget end, as is most of the plastics and other parts. There were several cosmetic defects I spotted. While the car does have several issues, I think with some modification it gets better. Improving the bearings, electronics, and other components will dramatically better the driving experience. The issue I have is the price. I personally feel there are better options in terms of value for the money. However, with some RC knowledge it would be possible to get the most out of this truck. This makes it a difficult product to place because its many flaws would quickly become frustrating to a beginner, and overcoming them as an experienced hobbyist might be more trouble than it is worth. I do like that Hosim is taking this truck toward a positive direction. I like the aluminum chassis and other components. Hopefully in the future we will keep seeing improvements made that enhanced performance and durability. It is fast with the right setup, but in part to its overgearing. This makes it idea for on-road use, where the control is good. ... show more

  • Blistering Speed, But Handle with Caution!
This Hosim 1/14 Brushless RC Truck is an absolute rocket for the price, but it definitely has some quirks that hobbyists should be aware of before diving in. Performance & Power On the stock 2S batteries, this car is plenty fast and a ton of fun for general bashing. However, once you pop in a 3S LiPo, it becomes a completely different animal—it's almost uncontrollable. The power-to-weight ratio is massive, which is exciting but leads to some stability issues. Handling & Durability Because of the short wheelbase, the truck gets very twitchy and unstable at high speeds. During my very first run on 3S, the car caught a bit of air, and I ended up breaking the right lower control arm on landing. While the metal drivetrain components are stout, the physics of this scale make high-speed crashes fairly punishing. At top speed, even hitting the smallest pebble or bump can send the car into a massive cartwheel, which usually results in some form of damage. Technical Constraints & Maintenance One important thing for builders to note: the receiver is integrated into the ESC. This is a bit of a letdown because you can't easily upgrade your radio system or swap the ESC without replacing both. I’ve considered adding a gyro to help with the stability issues, but given how easily it flips on uneven terrain, a gyro might only go so far. On the bright side, maintenance is made easier because many parts are compatible with other Hosim models like the M13. This makes it much easier to source replacements or shared spares if you already run other cars from their lineup. Final Verdict If you want raw speed in a small package, this is a winner. Just be prepared to wrench on it and maybe keep it on 2S if you’re running in a tight space! Pros: Incredible speed on 3S. Solid metal drivetrain parts. Great parts compatibility with other Hosim models. Cons: Short wheelbase causes high-speed instability. Integrated ESC/Receiver limits upgrade paths. Fragile suspension arms under high-speed impacts. ... show more

  • Great little rig. Loving the newer hosim stuff. Great little rig. Loving the newer hosim stuff.
Hosim has really stepped up over the years. I've owned a few of the high end cars out there and I can't really tell the difference. Out of the box it feels sturdy and balanced. We've put it through a dozen or so runs and thus far, super impressed. The control is your standard pistol grip with wheel and trigger. It's smooth and solid. It pairs up and just works. The car is tough. The full aluminum skid plate is impressive and the frame geometry is keeping things straight even after the kids make it backflip and cartwheel. ...every car becomes a basher with a kid at the wheel... Steering is responsive and smooth. The suspension keeps it on track and the tires just go. For such a small rig, it tears through grass and gravel. It eats dirt and mulch with pleasure and generally shreds. Like jumps? So does this car. With decent speed, power and a well built chassis, it just rocks. Battery life is 15-20 minutes per pack and is very even throughout the cycle. You really can't go wrong. ... show more

  • Built like a tank. Goes like a rocket. Built like a tank. Goes like a rocket.
The 1st thing I have to say about the Moxlin is… the car is totally bonkers on 3S. It’s VERY fast. Like “too fast for its own good” fast. It’s 2S and 3S capable and a ton of fun on the stock 2S batteries, but on a 3S LiPo, it’s crazy fast and too much for young kids. There are a bunch of YTers hyping up this car, and having tried it myself, I can say “believe the hype”. This RC is built like a tank and goes like a rocket. For an RC that sells between $130-140, it’s got a ton of premium features usually only found in more expensive RCs. The suspension and steering links are adjustable, the C-hubs and steering gear are metal, the all-metal drivetrain and aluminum chassis are super stout and built to take abuse. The 45A ESC has more than enough power to get this car moving at ridiculous speeds, and on high grip surfaces it’s got enough brake force to flip itself back over front. My short little video here does it no justice at all. If you can handle fast RCs, and you buy this car (and I do recommend it), do yourself a favor and pick up a 3S LiPo battery for it. You won’t be disappointed. The included batteries are 2S Lithium-Ion (not LiPo). The car is still plenty fast on the stock batteries, and Li-Ion makes a lot more sense for beginners. Li-Ion is both safer to charge and store, and provides a softer acceleration curve that’s easier for younger drivers to handle, so I get they’re making “the safe choice” there. Do note, however: the batteries are mislabelled. Info on the batteries is sparse and in the listing there is a seller photo that indicates Li-Ion with a picture of a battery that’s labelled LiPo, so I disassembled the battery case to confirm what’s actually inside. They are indeed Li-Ion, and that’s important to know, because LiPos and Li-Ions have similar voltage ranges, but different charging profiles. If you’re using an aftermarket charger, make sure you use the Li-Ion setting. Other than that little labelling snafu, there is nothing to complain about here. It’s a fast, fun, rock solid bash-able RC. Solid 5 stars. ... show more

  • Love this thing! Love this thing!
This is the Hosim Moxlin m14, nearly a twin to the m13 Moxlin. The key differences that I see is this version is more cost friendly, it comes with 2 2s batteries, no extra tires and (to my understanding) possibly a slightly downgraded differential. It seems that Hosim is releasing a few more cost friendly versions of their cars and honestly, they fit my preferences nearly perfectly. I have 6 Hosim cars and about 15 others ranging from Arrma to MJX. Hosim is a great brand, they choose good cars for their lineup and this m14 really falls into what I wanted. A smaller, more tame basher, short course 4 wheel drive truck for my son to drive. Where this truck really shines is bang for the buck. The Moxlin is one of their best trucks. It's a 1/14 (slightly smaller) but the weight of the truck allows pretty good travel in grass compared to its budget competition. Also, it's pretty peppy for 2s and a 1500mah battery gives you a decent runtime. My son and I love this thing. While I wouldn't recommend to an inexperienced child, it is still a bit more manageable than some of the beasts I see people buying for first rcs. This would be a great option. It also has cool orange lights on the roof (I love rc lights) and it just looks so good. Also runs cool with a pretty strong fan. Lastly, hosim has practically all of their replacement parts on their site or Amazon, which really gives them a leg up on top of choosing good vehicles for their lineup. If I could recommend improvements, I'd like this one to have the upgraded gearing, and do something a bit different with the battery straps. It's still a bit setup like the m13 so they dont fit the best. Overall, it's actually one of the best ones if tried from Hosim for the cost and Overall quality for the cost! ... show more
