This is an awesome RC Truck especially for the price. Battery life is consistent with Traxxas and other major brands. Its faster than the X max, however it is not as stable as high speeds. I think it is too light for the speeds its capable of achieving.

For a full-size RC basher under $150, the amount of performance and value this RC car provides is pretty darn impressive. Sure, there are bigger, faster cars out there, but nothing at anywhere near this price point. Hosim has packed a bunch of cool features into this one too. For one, the outrunner motor is quite unique for this type of RC. I usually see outrunners in crawlers, but it works surprisingly well here, and I have no concerns about its size. Outrunners are normally more torquey than fixed magnet motors of the same size. I do wonder about how it will hold up in a wet and dirty environment, but it had no issues in my yard or on the street, and the body does a good job of keeping the inside relatively clean. The suspension is set up well for jumping, and the tires have a ton of grip. Maybe too much grip for the grass, but they worked great on pavement. With the included batteries, punch/acceleration is good, but nothing to write home about. Pop in a high C-rate LiPo and this car really wakes up. The ESC can definitely handle bigger batteries. The brakes on this are really strong too. Strong enough to flip it if you’re driving recklessly. I like that! Overall build quality is really impressive. Good, strong, flexible plastics and lots of metal upgrades. This is a well-designed, tough little basher. Size-wise, it’s similar to an Omni Terminator, and smaller than an Arrma Granite, but it can hold its own running with either of those. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better monster truck in this size class at this price.

Not bad when I first got it. Really wanted a 1/10 scale basher to use that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Unfortunately the gearbox kinda blew up when my 5-year-old was playing with it. Haven't had the time to open it up and see if I have compatible replacement parts. But if I do I will come back and update! Promising but needs troubleshooting. Updated: There is a very common problem with the rear differential, it will break, just depends on when. Personally, mine needed to replaced less than a month post purchase. The positive, customer service was promptly sent a replacement, hassle free. If you're looking for a fast, large truck for backyard, dirt-road, street, etc. and value cost over refinement, this is an excellent option. Not everyone is looking to spend $400+ on a Traxxas Rustler or Stampede, but they want something similar. Personally, the value and speed per dollar you get is far superior to that of Traxxas. While the quality may not be the same level, it's good enough for the average person who just wants that similar speed and feel without breaking the bank. The speed on this is easily adjustable via the controller and can reach 38+ mph stock out of the box. As for durability, it's pretty well built with a mix of both plastic and metal components. As with any RC car/ truck, parts are going to break when you crash at 40 mph. The great thing is that replacement and upgrade parts are both cheap and readily found on Hosim's website, Amazon, temu, and AliExpress just to name a few. So while you may not have that luxurious name value of a Traxxas or Arrma, what you will have is something just as fun at about 1/3 of the price.

feels like a real performance machine right out of the box, the brushless motor gives it crazy quick acceleration and it easily hits high speeds that make it super fun to drive in open spaces like parks or empty parking lots, the dual battery setup is a big win because you actually get a solid amount of run time without constantly stopping to recharge which keeps the fun going longer, build quality also stands out with the metal drivetrain and reinforced parts that give it a solid heavy duty feel and it handles small crashes and jumps without falling apart, the oil filled shocks really help smooth out rough ground so it stays stable even on grass and gravel while the 4WD grip keeps it moving through different surfaces without getting stuck, setup is basically zero effort since it comes ready to run and the remote response is smooth with good range which makes control easy even for beginners, only small downside is that the batteries still take some time to fully charge and it can get a bit aggressive for very small indoor spaces but that is expected for something this fast, overall it is a very fun and durable RC truck that performs well across different terrains and keeps both speed and control in a nice balance

This is advertised as a car, but I would classify it as a truggy. (Mix between a truck and a buggy). Very common in the RC world. This car actually surprised me. I have many RC cars and planes, both gas and electric. On cheaper models, the cars will not track straight when taking off the line. Once up to speed, they will drive straight, but pull a lot when taking off full throttle. Usually, the suspension and shocks are lacking. Sometimes it’s the tires. Only when you spend more $ do you get a truggy to take off straight with a full throttle hole shot. This truggy does it! Impressed. Driving is very responsive, it tracks well, and the electronic brake works very well. The remote takes 4 “AA” batteries, and has no external antenna, so nothing to break off. The car is the same, it has a very tiny wire antenna a few inches long and is safe under the body of the truggy. The remote has some nice feature on it. There is obviously the steering and throttle trim, but it also has a rate adjustment. On my older cars and planes, this was known as dual rate. You could program the maximum throw, steering, or throttle on the low rate. This transmitter actually has a dial on top that allows you to set the rate from slow to fast. This is a nice feature if you are training someone else to drive, or for a younger driver. You can set the rate to its slowest setting, and it gives them time to think and react without running it into a wall, person, mailbox, etc… There are two 1500 mAh batteries included with a USB charger that also balances the 2 cells (7.4 volt lithium polymer battery). It has a Deans connector for the main power to the vehicle. If you have been around a while in the RC hobby, you probably already have a Deans charger. So the batteries are very universal. Deans connectors are a quality connector for up to about 50 amps. So they fit the bill perfectly in this setup. I can’t speak to the durability much, as I have only run several batteries through it so far. I have rolled it a few times on the concrete. I can say, the tires held up much better than expected, as the concrete is like sandpaper and those sliding corners at high speed really scruff the tires. The good news is that replacement parts are readily available for anything that happens to break. I have a number of Traxxas, Kyosho, Mugan, and others for cars, trucks, and truggies. Some are gas, some are electric. As I get older, I find the connivence and ease of use in electric to be much better. Comparing this vehicle to the other brands is surprising good. The other brands cost a ton more, like several of the vehicles are over $1000 each. This is less than $150 and is a great performing vehicle. It runs through the grass, dirt and streets like nothing. Overall, I am very impressed with the performance to cost of this Hosim truggy. I would highly recommend it to a beginner, or advanced user. It’s all pre-built, and ready to run out of the box.

I’ve tested several RC cars from this company already, and this one definitely impressed me. The brushless motor sounds amazing and the truck is seriously fast right out of the box. The bright LED lights look great, especially during evening runs, and the controller feels comfortable in your hands with the foam grip design. The foam tires feel premium and provide great handling on hard surfaces. The suspension handles well overall, although I do wish the shocks were a little softer for jumps. Since the vehicle is lightweight, it doesn’t really need super heavy shocks anyway. The flexible plastic body material feels durable, and the aluminum plate underneath is a really nice touch. There’s also plenty of ground clearance for off-road driving. It also comes with a spare battery, which is a huge bonus and gives you even more driving time without waiting to recharge. Battery life is solid, and while it’s not compatible with a 3S LiPo battery, you can still fit a larger 2S LiPo in the tray for longer runtimes. The controller range is very good — far enough that you don’t have to worry about losing control easily. Overall, this RC truck sounds great, runs extremely fast, and has excellent build quality. Great customer service and warranty support from the company too.
