I like this clamp. but the plastic parts seem cheap. since getting this I have seen other similar clamps with metal parts that will work better.

    • I like this better than the one with the metal tape
I purchased this item because I needed a second one to make wooden boxes. I had one for maybe 12 years. It has a stainless steel strap rather than a nylon strap as this one. I like this one better. It is much lighter and maneuverable. I can work faster with it especially while gluing my project. Of course the nylon strap stretches but that is not a problem. It is elastic so still continues to apply the needed force. ... show more

I did like the way that it applied even pressure, but the plastic part proved to fail over a short period of time

    • Game changer
First strap clamps I have purchased and have used them for a couple box projects so far. Easy to use, squares up projects well enough. The negatives are that you need to be sure the handle is entirely retracted when you set up your band, otherwise you may overextend the clamp.
