The mesh is listed as triple strength or whatever - it is woven thread throughout, but each thread is hardly that much stronger than unwoven products. For my use, it was great as I was just deterring deer from getting at the plants. Getting it unwrapped to use just a 8ft piece took longer than putting it up! It would have been better had they wrapped it like plastic sheeting which is easy to unwrap. For that reason, I took off one star. I needed some fencing to block off some of my yard as I had to spray with weed killer and didn't want my small dog exposed to the area where I sprayed. I was hopeful this plastic would hold up . Worked fine. I bought the package with the ties , spikes and fence. With a little help from my neighbor we had it up in no time and I didn't even have to use all the ties.
