I ordered this 16 panel garden fence with gate for an area to keep my dogs out of in the yard. The area I want to keep my dogs away from is a stretch of arborvitae that is up against a wrought iron fence in my yard that separates my yard from my neighbors. Our dogs love to run up that fence line into the arborvitae to get through and sniff/bard at the neighbors dog. I will be installing this fence the long way and creating a barrier to protect the trees (they are getting bald/thinned out from the dogs at the bottom) and to also afford my neighbors some space/privacy while our dogs are out. I’m still not done finishing the area so my pictures are of the product itself in the garage as it’s not ready for installation yet of these panels. The fence panels comes well packaged and, yes, the box is heavy. It comes with work gloves, decent instructions with some pictures, etc. The panels themselves are metal but not super thick/also not too thin/acceptable girth for the project. It says rustproof, which is really important for me because I live in the Pacific NW and it retains A LOT here in the winter. Poles that connect the pieces are thick and sturdy. They fit well between the loops that connect two pieces together and are long enough to get a good secure install into the ground. I really like that there is a circle at the top of each stake where you could attach solar string lights or anything else to drape down. I like the flexibility of this set meaning you can line up straight (like I intend to do and angle the end two pieces in toward the trees) OR you can create a fully enclosed square around gardens or to create a safe space for a small pet. The only thing I did notice was the gate door panel was a little warped from being compressed in the box. It was still usable but did require some coaxing and finesse. I imagine this will get better once installed. Something to note but nothing that would have me thinking twice about. Overall, this is going to help protect my trees from getting demolished by my dogs and perhaps act as a barrier for both my sanity and my neighbors on the other side of our permanent fence. I’ll update pics and review when officially installed, but for now it looks like a great solution to my problem.

The design with the spikes going deep into the ground while also connecting the panels is brilliant! It allows the perimeter to be flexible, yet strong. It looks very nice in the yard, and each piece is light weight. I was able to put it together by myself. There are so many configurations you can make. You cannot get this much fencing for anywhere near the same low price. It even comes with nice reusable gloves to wear when handling the fencing. I'm using this as a circular pen for German Shepherd puppies to go potty in their separate part of the yard until their shots are complete. There are 4 puppies left that are now 19-26 pounds each (11 weeks old). They cannot climb/jump over so far, and it flexes just enough (like a net) to avoid them pushing it down when they are all pushing on it at the same time. The classic pens that just use standard steaks and snapping connectors are easily trampled down by these giant, naughty puppies :) I honestly don't see it being possible to use this inside, unless you have a toy poodle or something. It comes with rubber slip covers for the sharp tips of the steaks to avoid scratching floors, but I see it getting pushed around the house by any dog bigger than 5 pounds. There are 2 reasons for taking a star away: 1) When using a hammer to hammer the spikes into the ground per instructions, the protective paint chipped completely off the top in the first swing. It even chips off using a rubber mallet, or putting something in between the spike and the swinging hammer. I was going to use some spray paint the next day. The next morning, however, the top of the spike was completely rusted where the paint chipped off, and it didn't even rain! It rusted with just the moisture in the air. I lived in Hawaii, and I've never seen that level of rust that fast! It is some really cheap metal and a protective coating that does not adhere well at all to the metal. I've had the standard pet fencing from the pet store outside for years, year-round (30-115 degrees F), and they barely have any rust on them at all. 2) The slide latches on the door do not end in a 90-degree angle to avoid pets from pushing the gate open. Of course, German Shepherd puppies would figure that one out after a few days. I thought I had longer. So, I used the old fencing I had to create a fenced-in walkway from the door to the pen, and I leave the pen door open. I would still recommend this and buy again, because the value and length are unbeatable. If they change their materials, it will probably be too expensive to purchase. I'll just use protective spray paint made to adhere to polished metal surfaces to avoid rust.

This might be it, but I would not even call this animal proof by any means, maybe a rabbit, but rabbits can squeeze through really tight spaces so this might not stop a rabbit, but it definitely will not stop a dog or a cat. They’re not tall at all, they are made out of very flimsy wire Are they kind of cute? Yeah, I guess so, but I really like stuff that looks thick sturdy and will stand the test of time, and this will clearly just bend if you bump into it even with a push mower. Can’t really recommend this wholeheartedly as well. A bit on the higher price for its quality
