Compact and Potentially Wonderful. The only challenging aspect is that the tines are not in ascending or descending order, they are more random. It is wise to find a color- coding system for this as well as Youtube song instructionals. I love mine. I thought it would be as easy as the piano--- but like I said, not ascending or descending keys. It's a bit challenging, but super non- imposing in being so small, and from it's sound on Youtubes has the potential to be truly novel and wonderful.

I was not sure what to expect at the beginning as this is a Christmas and I am not an instrument player. It came in a nice blue box with a carrying case packed separately as if it is an afterthought add on ( hence the one-star deduction). It has also a small drawstring bag if you prefer not to put it inside the carrying case. A small booklet with a few tunes is attached as well as some printed numbers and thumb protectors as well as a small hammer for tunning. All and all, a good little present. The sound is good. I tried tunning it with an online app, and all sounds fairly well-tuned. I am happy with it. May get one for myself too.

The media could not be loaded. Just arrived. Looks pretty cool and sturdy. No instructions manual or musical notes. Tried to play “You are my sunshine” but it’s obviously out of tune. Too bad. I was looking forward to it.

When I opened the package there was a strong smell, of something, it almost smelled of perhaps a perfume. I tossed out ye wrapper and wiped the thumb piano off. Later that day my daughter stopped bye, took my bag of trash out, on her way home, to the trash can. Once home I talked with her and she asked me what was in my trash, she could not stop sneezing. I have no idea what the smell was in that package…. We need more locally made items to choose from. This put a damper on my buying things I don’t need. JD

This looked like a unique little gift by the description. It is small and looks well made. The wood is pretty, but the lanyard that came with it was a cheap piece of fraying string with a few beads. I threw it away. The problem is the keys are so out of tune. There are no instructions with it, or tools, so I didn’t know how to tune it. I didn’t want a product I had to tune anyway. It was a bust.
