the threads may have been cut a little deep to seal for some pipe fittings. I used it to mount a filter inside of a toolbox and run the piping in and out of box. one of them screwed all the way down and leaked. Yes i used thread tape

Beware! The inner female thread is British Standard Pipe. Not NPT. Also. This is too light to be brass. It’s some plated Chinesium metal. Should be zero star rated.

It does what it is supposed to do, feels thick, and heavy, rubber washers seem to be of good quality. No leaks yet, easy to install. Product as described.
