Perfect fit, easy install and good value

Got these to replace a tired pair on my 2006 Acura MDX. The hardest part was removing the clips from the old ones. Perfectly fit and these things are strong! Hold that beast of a hood up very well. Installation tip: When prying the clips up on the new units, be sure to go straight up otherwise the clip gets crooked and screws everything up. If you do it wrong, you will see that 1/2 of the clip blocks the socket into which the hood stud goes. It's a bit tricky but if you mess up, just push the clip back down and do it again - keeping the blade of the screwdriver right in the middle and applying pressure. Hard to explain, but this isn't difficult. Hope this helps someone ! Bottom line : great product and great price.

Easy to install but way to strong

First time we opened the rear hatch it almost took my head off. Very powerful, so be careful! Easy to install and I am sure they will last years but too strong in my opinion.

Fit 2005 Acura MDX

Tips of hood struts are at a slight angle as compared to original equipment. I installed the struts anyway and they work great. Hood strut length and lift strength are perfect. So easy and quick to install (took longer to find a screwdriver) that I wish I had replaced the hood struts years ago. Lots of good how-to install videos online.
