Found this cute piece by searching “entryway cabinet” with intentions of using it as a shoe cabinet. It’s on the smaller side so you may be able to fit 9 pairs shoes on the cabinets’ 2 shelves. It doesn’t have that much space. The top and only drawer is pretty deep and can fit a lot of things. The color is great, a mixture of different woods. This cabinet was a great value! All the parts were labeled. Assembly was pretty straight forward. One door had a mark in the clear coating. I might sand it out later. I tried to flip the door so the mark was on the inside but that wouldn't work unless I drilled new holes. The hardest part was tightening the screws that hold the top to the frame. The space between the Allen-head screw and the side of the chest didn't leave alot of room for fingers. Luckily I had a set of ball head Allen wrenches which made it easier. I installed the doors by tilting them--it worked fine for me. When I had to remove one door, I used a pocket knife to retract the plastic hinge with spring and remove the door. The cabinet would be great even without the drawer, but I installed it per the instructions anyway. It does not have rails, but I don't see it as a problem. It does have two plastic detents that keep the drawer from sliding out all the way when you open it. This technique works fine. Overall pretty happy with this purchase. I love this storage cabinet. After reading the reviews I decided I was going to buy it and assemble it myself. It sounded like I needed to take it slow as I expected the directions could be more helpful. Nonetheless, I think the directions are actually pretty decent. I did put the doors on the wrong side; but I just did a little work around with some glue. I think after an hour and a half I stopped paying attention to the details and went on auto pilot. As far as the cabinet goes. It’s really cute. The drawer is a little janky but I didn’t expect a dovetail on a track. It’s not too heavy and is easy to move. I store my workout equipment in it and one item is a weighted vest that is 8lbs and I put it on the top shelf and it easily holds it with all the other gloves, hats, reflectors, etc. I am really happy with my purchase. The top drawer I set clear plastic trays and boxes for my hair ties, ear buds, masks, glide, sunglasses, etc. i feel so organized! ... show more

This is a great little cabinet! Very well built, quality materials in an inexpensive item. I did not want brown but could not find another product with the dimensions I needed. So, I used ‘Beyond Paint’ in ‘off white’ and painted this with a brush. I only painted the outside and we LOVE the look of it! It goes really well with my dining table (pictures really don’t do it justice!) If I hadn’t needed it close to my dining table, I would have kept the cabinet as-is and not painted it. Purchased this cabinet because I needed more storage in my kitchen. This little cabinet is surprisingly sturdy once assembled and looks great. I am a 60 yo female and it took me about 2 hours to put together using a screwdriver and the provided allen wrench. All pieces were labeled well and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. Latches are strong and hold the doors closed well. While this is far from a cabinet made of solid wood, it is a great little piece for the price and I would recommend this for anyone looking for a bit more storage in any room in their home. ... show more

Nice, heavy, sturdy piece of furniture. Fairly easy to put together. I was looking for a taller bedside table with a drawer and this met those requirements. Wish the drawer had a runner slide rather than it just sliding into the empty space. That'll probably be a problem down the road as this isn't solid wood. ... show more
