The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t expecting it to be this sturdy for the price. Very cute and functional. The cats love it and no more unsightly litter box. My only suggestion would be for a sleeping pad to be included, as you can see I placed a blanket in the box. Otherwise am very happy with this! Assembly was not too bad. I did have to drill a few pilot holes that were missing, but that was for the back piece and it was still attached well enough that I could have done without those screws. It’s so classy-looking and matches perfectly with the oak gray wood textures on the rest of our fortune! Our feline babies love it…so much so that, even though they do not usually sleep in the same place, 2-3 of them will sleep on this tree at one time. We were in desperate need of a new cat tree, but our elderly girl is change adverse. We finally decided upon this tree because it matches the end table/crate made by the same company. It was a great choice! Setting it up wasn’t too awful. It took my husband and me about 2 hours, but we weren’t rushing. The worst part was that the tiny screws on the back didn’t have guide holes predrilled. I would have had to pull out the power drill if my husband hadn’t been there to help. Particle board is tough to break through! The finished product seems smallish, but our adult cat doesn’t mind. She fits comfortably in the hammock, and it supports her easily. We ended up using the litter box area as a feeding station instead. It keeps the dogs from stealing her food. The biggest surprise has been that our cat took to the tree immediately without her usual suspicion. She even manages to fit in and enjoy the little 12x12 nook. It's appealing to look at from afar. Cat enjoys it and it hides the litter box. The base is very cheap, thin plywood. Paint is scuffed on arrival. I don't expect it to last long with a kitten. The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a nice little castle for my prince to perch on. I also wanted something where I could hid the litter box, being in a small apartment room in nyc, it seems necessary. I finally found this set up and my cat LOVES it. It’s his own space he can hang out on and scratch and when my boyfriend’s dog is here he has a space to climb up to. It took about an hour give or take to assemble on my own, you will need some kind of screw driver towards the end but the instructions seemed to be easy enough to follow. I like the option of being able to put the doorway to the inside on either side of the tower. The inside is big enough for a large littler box and then some. Overall I would recommend this product if you have a small space and want to pamper you kitty and hid their poop palace. ... show more

The only issue we had was the doors being off. The sticks that hold the balls had to be glued in place because they are super flimsy and just kept falling out. I do still have to block the entrance to the litterbox from the dogs-it is very annoying, but still better than having it out in the open. My big guy really loves the hammock. ... show more
