I am very pleased with this, and giving it 5 stars, though some may feel it is more 4 per the flimsy shelves. I think its great for things that get hot, the mesh shelves allow a lot of airflow, and also, a lot of dust. The other way is fully sealed, filtration, fans, vents, etc. Frame is quite solid, as the top piece wood shelf is firm. I haven't installed the LED strip, I may use that there or else where, nice little bonus, I didn't really care about that. Height is perfect, with is great! The mesh is pretty weak and anything heavy cause it to dip. I was not able to use the stand for my PS5 it would not lay flat. I just went with no stand, and due to the weakness of the shelves it sits pretty flat naturally, way better than on stand due to shelf design. Could use some cross members or more tension, the two pieces with center bar can cause issue as did for the PS5. This is not an issue at all for my heavier amplifiers, they sit level and well supported as their weight is evenly distributed, no central point. The shelves can take weight distributed, but if you say put a paper weight in center, it will sag. I would not try to put figurines or other objects that require balance. Only warning, inspect ALL parts before assembly! Literally, on my last screw at the top, the nut was welded at an angle. I tried to correct and it damaged the wood. I removed the piece and tried to correct further, and its welded so well, it started to bend, and I just used a temp screw with rubber washer till replaced. I could not reach customer service so I ordered a defective replacement, swapped out the one piece and sent it back. I just wish I inspected it before assembly, issues like that can happen. Otherwise, very pleased!

since product is made in China there are inevitable delays due to customs, governmental rules, etc., that even Amazon can't control so coming a day late is understandable. When product did arrive it went together well, is sturdy and in use now.

The media could not be loaded. The HOOBRO 4-Tier AV Media Stand is one of those pieces that looks more complicated than it actually is. Assembly took my husband about 30 minutes using a power drill. The instructions start out very straightforward, but once you reach the light strip installation, the directions get vague. In practice, it’s simple enough, though. You just peel off the protective backing and stick the strip to the underside of the top shelf. I ran mine right down the center, though you could push it toward the back or front if that works better for your setup. If having this look perfectly straight when that mythical nosey house guest creeps into your room and inspects the underside of your shelving to see your light strip install is important to you, I’d recommend using a straight edge to guide the strip and keep it aligned. Another option is to draw a pencil line first and follow that. We eyeballed it, and for me that was fine, but my husband agonized over it. Because there are a lot of parts, I recommend laying everything out first and counting your pieces before starting. Follow the instructions step by step, don’t rush, and hold off on tightening screws fully until the frame is squared up. That wiggle room makes lining up the shelves much easier. The included remote is a weak spot. The instructions are tiny and not particularly useful, and while it claims a 10-meter range, I could only get it to work from about a meter away and at a very specific angle. That makes it more frustrating than helpful. Fortunately, there’s a Bluetooth app that controls the lights far better. I would skip the remote altogether and just use the app. My plan is to velcro the remote under the top shelf in case the app ever becomes unsupported or the stand changes hands. In terms of sturdiness, it’s average for a particleboard-and-metal frame unit. It does come with a wall strap, which I would definitely use if you plan on loading it up with heavier electronics. Since mine will just hold office supplies, I left it free-standing without issue. What stood out most to me was the flexible LED light placement with the reliable app control, the manageable assembly process as long as you stay organized, and the generous surface space for media gear or household items. The remote, however, was nearly useless, so the app is really the way to go. This stand works well for anyone who needs compact shelving for media equipment, gaming consoles, or light office use. It’s not furniture-grade sturdy, but it does the job, looks sleek with the lighting on, and offers enough customization to make it fit your space.

I like the media stand overall in general. It has a lot of space to put electronics on or whatever you’d like to use it for. I have it in my room. I have two of them side-by-side. It’s definitely not meant for a bedroom. It’s meant for a living room area. And I do like it it’s just not meant for the space that I bought it for.
