The installation is a bit tricky given the limited space to work with but it is doable with patience. This fan has variable nature mode to simulate a breeze. The light is fairly bright and a bit different than most fans but I like it. Cleanest looking fane design for the cost. Tip. When putting on the light kit.. make sure you screw it on even but not too tight to restrict the fans movement. It has to be even to ensure light cover is even when putting it on. Bought and installed 3 in the three bedrooms in the house. I am newer to "new" fans and I was worried with the three blades these wouldn't put out enough air flow and with the one room being a little bigger, that it wouldn't be enough. Man, was I wrong! These babies really put out some air even on the lowest setting! They are quiet (we had the one we installed first hitting something and once we turned off and adjusted it was silent), and put out an incredible breeze. On high, it is more than enough for even the hottest day. The remote was my favorite part, in the rooms where we had just one switch for the fan we mounted the remote right over the box, which was a very clean and nice look since we didn't need the switch with the remote. In another room we had a switch for a wall sconce so we left the switch and mounted the remote on the wall right next to it and it looked great as well. I love the bracket for it and that you can pop it out. I think it looks much nicer than in another room we have a remote with just a holder which looks a little meh compared to this one. The install was fairly straight forward as other fans we have done in the other rooms and in a rental property we have. There was a learning curve on the first one, mostly which way to put all the wires to have enough space to put the remote box in and get everything up and covered. This is the same as we've had with other fans, not any more or less difficult. By the third we were pros and probably installed it from start to finish in about 15 mins but I would say the first was an hour or so because of the wiring and we had missed a step and didn't realize until the end! Ooops! Great product, would buy again in the future. My only downside now after purchasing other fans is the one in our living room has plastic wood-look blades which I actually prefer vs the cardboard-type wood blades these have just because you can take them off and scrub them or whatever is needed in the future. However, the remote on this one beats that! Great purchase and would highly recommend! ... show more

Clear instructions, with the fan packaging set up to install fairly quickly. I decided to install the fan, replace my can lights in the ceiling and replace my dimmer switches all at the same time, and the result was a lot working with a headlamp, and the fan installation was still fairly easy. I installed two of these, and the second went a lot quicker, except that I had to balance the blades on the second fan. I like all of the features of this ceiling fan except that the direction switch is not on the remote but on the fan. For our house, that’s a ladder operation twice a year, so not too bad. The remote has some functions that are not likely to get used, so engineering the ability to switch directions from the remote seems fairly good sense. ... show more

It was super easy to install, looks great. You can tell the materials are cheaply made but it's also a pretty cheaply priced fan so I think it performs and looks fantastic for the cost. It dims and has all sorts of cool buttons and features on the remote and is quiet. However the one thing I'm meh about is that at night if the fan is on the light will ever so softly glow. Which I found a bit irritating at first but eventually got used to. Overall I think the good outweigh the bad and would buy again. ... show more

After searching the internet for the most reliable ceiling fans, Honeywell was ranked on top. Well, not for me. The installation was somewhat easy as I have installed multiple fans. The instructions have some error in wire labels and does not take into account the red wire coming out of the ceiling. Of course, this wasn't a big issue for me. The issue was the oscillating humming noise. It is loud enough to keep me from falling asleep. I thought this was going to be a quiet fan. But, not the one I installed. It is being returned. It's a PITA to take down and rebox and take it to UPS to return. I must say that it is nice looking fan and looks well made. ... show more

I don't usually write reviews but since this has some bad reviews I decided to share my experience. I've installed several ceiling fans in the past - this one only slightly more difficult because of the remote receiver - but read through the reviews for suggestions and it is not that difficult. It only fits in one way. Best advice was to assemble the whole thing (except lens cover) before climbing the ladder. As a 3 blade fan there is plenty of room to work and it isn't heavy. Looks great! Works great! Quiet and mine is perfectly balanced. Light is bright - or dim. Fan puts out plenty of air even with only 3 blades. I love it! ... show more

    • Disappointed crappy ceiling fan

I got 5 of these for my new house. They have a nice looking/finish. When installed; 2 of them were malfunctioning due to poor connectivity between remote and receptor which ends up in wrong or ineffective response. Followed all the troubleshooting and had a technician came to see if there was something wrong but everything was ok. Then, Called customer support third company (Amazon didn’t want it to take them back and Honeywell puts you in contact with a third party vendor) and had to prove them they were malfunctioning. Their fix? They send new remotes and new receptor; however only received one so I’m reaching out back again. And have to pay more for the technician coming down to install, check, check again and not put it down and install a new one… Today another one broke down so that is 3 out of five either broken or malfunctioning in less than 4 month… that is what I call the crappiest ceiling fan in the entire universe. Please stay away; Honeywell is not a good company and is not responsible with the warranty nor customer service. You are warned. ... show more
