I was surprised how quiet.it is . Make sure it is even by adjusting the feet . Cools good I turned it on and ran for 24 hours before putting in the wine . Because I had it open so long and loaded 20 bottles it took a few hours to cool it down again. It works great .

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I directly reached out to Honeywell & the customer service rep was a HUGE help & AMAZING. Not only did I not have to return the broken glass fridge but he provided simply instructions on how I could get a new without any hassle of shipping the broken one back. The new fridge arrived within 3 days & intact. I read the reviews previously & waited 24 hrs. before turning it on & then waiting another 24 hrs. before putting in my wine bottles. The fridge works great, not noisy & looks sleek. As mentioned in previous reviews, you have to hold down the lock icon in order to change the temperature (but that wasn't in the manual). ... show more

what a piece of crap! Compressor is very noisy with much vibration. The temp adjustments do not work and the reading is a constant 50. Very disappointed with this piece of junk Follow up: Honeywell did quickly replace the unit free of charge and I'm happy with the customer service. Guess the first one was a lemon ... show more

I've had the cooler for 10 months, since early November 2022. Yes, you can store 34 bottles in the 34 bottle sized cooler. It has a section for storing larger bottles, or five standard sized ones, which I like. The condenser-type cooler is extremely quiet, and the temperature setting display is accurate. I compared it with the reading on another thermometer. It's double-pained ultra violet glass door shuts securely. Like most coolers in this price range, it doesn't have humidity control. I like that it has adjustable legs for leveling the cooler, and the pull out shelves. I had a problem with the procedure for adjusting the thermostat, since the User Manual I received does not give any instructions for it. However it was resolved by their customer service. You need to press the lock button for a few seconds until it beeps, in order to adjust the temperature. ... show more

    • Run Don't Walk From This Wine Cooler

This is the second of two units we've used. The first one was completely defective - the thermostat would cool to command temperature once, only to never cool again. The second one was in some ways worse. On a daily basis, the temperature varies from 8 degrees F to over 15 degrees F. This variation in temperature will destroy a wine faster than leaving it stored stable but slightly warm. If Honeywell tried to design a wine cooler with the goal of ruining your fine wines, this would be the model they would manufacture. They're widely known for producing some of the worst equipment in any industry. I should have learned my lesson after being a customer of theirs for decades. I did not - I was pleased with how quiet this unit was and is. Yet, on the very basics of temperature control - something Honeywell should be quite good at as a "controls" company - it fails completely. If there was a way to give this unit -10 stars, I would do it without hesitation. Without a doubt, the most incapable wine cooler we have ever used. ... show more

    • Thermostat, thought I bought a lemon until….

After opening, reading the instructions, and trying to set the thermostat I was sure I had purchased a defective unit. I went on line to the Honeywell (manufacturer) site and only found the same manual as the one that came with the unit. The thermostat read 50 degrees and I could not change it to my desired 58 degrees. I tried and tried. I figured I would be returning the unit. Then I decided to read other reviews in detail and found the answer. You need to push and hold the lock button for three seconds until the temp light starts blinking. Then set your desired temperature. Then push the lock button again. It worked. Gave only 3 stars because the manufacturer should have explained it in the manual which would have made it much less frustrating for the customer. ... show more
