The first Honda thermostat lasted 22 years! I decided to spend an extra $10 to get an OEM replacement over some of the other brands. It's hard to beat Honda quality, just ask my 2002 Honda Accord! This thermostat will no doubt outlast the car; the first I ever bought for my daughter. It's my favorite to drive, so I kept it long after she moved on to bigger and better. While I don't plan on the car being around another 22 years, I also know that the new thermostat will never fail, unlike many of the more inexpensive brands. Why have a day or a trip interrupted over $10?! Buy this Honda OEM part instead! ... show more

It’s worth spending the extra few bucks and waiting time for the OEM. I think this is my 3rd one and had the car since 1999. I tested it before install and it opened at the correct temperature. Easy to install. That problem is solved. Would order again.
