I needed the width and depth and was able to use all the shelves by splitting it in two. I built one three shelf unit then used the top shelf poles as the bottoms with shorter legs for the second unit. It turned out perfectly for me.

When I received the product the clips to hold the shelves to the posts were missing. There were several polite messages / emails back and forth to clarify information. They sent a replacement that arrived when they said it would and it had all the parts I needed. So I am fully satisfied with the company. Now, the product: I am very experienced in building from scratch, putting together kits, and fixing other people’s problems. I carefully fitted correctly and put this product together, with much frustration. Some of the upright pole sections fit together easily and mating holes lined up for clips, others were almost interference fits (almost could not connect and align holes for pin type shelf clips). The clip pins to press fit into pole holes were not all the same size causing problems in mounting the shelves. The shelves themselves are not as robust as other shelf units I have assembled and can bend during assembly. I prefer units with clips that press fit onto post grooves that look like rings - much easier to do. I believe this product design could work better if the manufactured pieces were held to a closer tolerance and the shelves made a little bit more sturdy (like othe products). Again, the company was good to deal with but I won’t buy this design again. ... show more

Styled after typical wire-rack shelving, this is a much lighter duty shelving unit than I expected--posts are about 3/4" diameter vs typical 1" posts. The wires in the shelves are also quite narrow and easily deflect under load. Rated to hold 500 pounds, that is probably total for the unit (not per shelf), and even at that, I would not store anything fragile on this. I bought the 29 in w x14 in d x 61 in h wire racking, not wanting to wait the 3+ weeks to get one in stock elsewhere. It was not of the quality I have in the house, the kind had I waited 3 weeks I would have gotten from HD big box store. Tiny railings, tiny poles. The plastic shelf stops kept popping out of their designated holes - almost harder to put together than the big, sturdier poles that are adjustable heights in increments on the poles. These are pre-set shelves. Unless you dont mind flimsy and need it now now now, get it. Had I known, I think I would have really tried to wait the 3 weeks for better quality product to come back into stock. ... show more
