The media could not be loaded. I needed a lamp for my roll-top desk. There is no space on the writing surface so the lamp must be on the top shelf. Also, the tambor (the rolling cover) is a couple inches forward of the shelf when it's open which means the light has to reach passed it or it will cast a shadow on the desk. Some lights have a light base and will not stay up when you adjust it forward, but this one is very stable. The switch feels very solid. I have a 10w equivalent led bulb in it which uses only 1w, but it can take up to a 40w T10 bulb. If you want a brighter bulb, remember the max 40 watts is the actual power, not the "equivalent." The "equivalent" is only used to help us know how bright it is compared to an incandescent. Although I can't see putting anything more than a 2.5W LED (25W equivalent) as it is very bright when it's that close. ... show more
