I did not add a SIM card to enable call and SMS alerts but I might in the future. The app (Smart Life/Tuya) is user-friendly. It lets me arm, disarm, and monitor everything remotely, plus I can rename sensors and customize alert settings. The notifications are instantaneous. I really appreciate that there are no monthly fees — once you buy it, you’re set. Performance-wise, it’s very good. The motion detector is responsive, and the alarm is loud enough to be heard throughout the house (easily over 110dB). I even tested the tamper-proof feature — if someone tries to remove the main unit, it triggers an immediate alarm and sends alerts automatically. The TFT color screen is bright and informative, showing time, date, and even the weather, which is a nice touch. I also love that it works with Alexa and Google Assistant for quick voice control. As someone who lives alone, this is such a game changer for me. It was easy to install and I feel so much safer in my home. I love that I can use a simple app and that the app is intuitive in allowing me to manage my security system. I know that my neighbors can hear it going off because I tested that and that makes me feel even safer. I'm kind of surprised at how easy this was to set up in general but it's a wild time we live in with electronics that can make us safe so easily and I'm starting to get used to the reliability of these sort of things. the price is very affordable and it works perfectly. when used with pgst home monitoring, it can form a complete security system. the motion detector responds quickly, and the device will automatically send app notifications when the battery is low. the entire system is very easy to maintain - it only needs to maintain sufficient battery power to operate, and there are no monthly fees or subscriptions required.
