I'm 84, 5'3", 125#, and bought this to replace a huge, overstuffed double recliner/loveseat that was way too big for me and the room it's in. This was a piece of cake for me to assemble by myself...until I tried to put the back on. Turns out the bracket to slide the back into was bent. I contacted the manufacturer, sent them a photo of the defective bracket, and they immediately sent a new back, which I slipped on easily. I needed to replace my bedroom recliner. A family member had one of these in his work area. I decided I would like one as well. This is not the massaging version, just a basic recliner. It does the job. I am very petite, so the scaled down size of the chair is a plus for me. I am glad to now have a bit more floor space. I appreciate that the recliner’s positions remain locked without added effort. All in all I am pleased with my purchase. I was looking for an inexpensive recliner since I have two cats that are not declawed and no matter what I do to try to protect furniture, they manage to at the very least to do some damage with their claws, even furniture that I've covered with slipcovers and EVEN furniture that I've put double sided tape on and/or plastic furniture guards. They somehow manage to get their claws into the furniture. So, when I was looking for a recliner, I wasn't especially looking for one that had a synthetic leather as they can damage that as well. I had actually ordered a couple of other pieces of furniture, one from Amazon and one from another company that were so uncomfortable to sit on that I returned them and kept looking. The reviews were pretty good for the Homall recliner so I decided to try one but honestly didn't have much hope for it being very comfortable. I was completely surprised! While the recliner is not a luxury chair that you'll sink into and feel like you're in a soft cocoon, it is actually quite comfortable. I recently was very sick with Covid and spent quite a bit of time in the chair. The only comfort related issue I have with the chair is that while reclining, the lower part of the chair that holds your legs is a bit hard and can feel a bit uncomfortable if your legs are in one place too long. I thought the chair, for the price of about $150 was such a great bargain for my needs that I ordered a second recliner of the same so that I have one in my bedroom and one in the living room. They are not bad looking at all, and they are very easy to assemble. I'm a smaller woman in my 60's in good shape and had no problem at all. Now, if I didn't have cats I would have spent more money on a chair that I know would last for years and had more padding on the legs. I don't know how well the recliners will hold up over time but they aren't going to be subjected to rough use so hopefully they will hold up for a few years. The size of the recliners is perfect for a smaller apartment and people who aren't very tall and/or very heavy. I can see how someone who is over 6 feet tall or someone who may need a wider seat with more support may not be the most comfortable in the chair as the recliner is on the smaller side. It also sits lower to the ground than some, but it's perfect for me at 5'4". Overall, I'm happy with the recliners. They arrived on time with no damage. ... show more

I am 5' 1" tall and weigh between 115 and 120 lbs. It fits me just right. I bought a brown one approx. 3 years ago. It was still in good mechanical condition. It had signs of wear and tear on the arms and headrest. The only reason I decided to replace it was because I was mistakenly sent a recliner that had heat and massage. (The heat and massage worked well, but it took away from the comfort of the recliner.) The padding was thin over the massage and heat mechanisms and made it less comfortable than I would have liked. This recliner does not have heat and massage and the padding on the back and seat are thicker and more comfortable. Very easy to assemble. Just screw the legs on and slide the back on and sit down! There is no handle, just use your body weight to lean back or move forward. I'm not that strong and I assembled it by myself. ... show more

I love this recliner! It looks great in my living room. For the low price it was a real bargain. I am a 73-year-old skinny and weak woman, and I was able to put it together by myself (very surprisingly)! It's beautiful and quite comfortable! Please take note though... it is SMALL (as recliners go these days). I am about 5'7" and it suits me perfectly. A friend is 5'2" and also says it's very comfortable for her. If you are large, heavy or particularly tall, this recliner might not be for you. ... show more

Bought for my 86 year-old mom. She’s 5’1” 115 pounds. It’s great for her size. She is too weak to recline it on her own. It’s not hard to do but if the user is elderly and weak it may be hard for them. Comfy and nice especially for the price
