Drone arrived on time and is surprisingly really good. There was a problem with the battery that customer service immediately addressed by shipping a new battery that works just fine and lasts as long as advertised. I also bought an additional battery. This was my first drone and it hooked me right into the hobby. Easy and fun to fly as long as you start up each time in the correct sequence, meaning you should first power on the drone, then power on the controller and let them self sync (takes like 45 seconds or so), and only then should you plug in your phone. I bought a bunch of extra propellers that I haven't had the need to use as I haven't ever crashed it. The gimbal is a bit hard to adjust until you get used to it, you must learn to just nudge the controller quickly to get the correct angle. The camera takes very good videos and stills. I've since bought more expensive drones but I still use this one for daring missions that I don't put the more expensive ones into. I have about a hundred hours or so of great fun with it and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to dip their toes into the hobby without breaking the bank. ... show more

While this drone is a good introduction to the hobby (it is the first drone I have owned) and the photos and video are exceptional, it has one big flaw that has, disappointingly, not been addressed with a firmware fix. The motor that controls the tilting of the camera is ridiculously fast. In only about 1/2 second of pushing the lever on the controller to either tilt up or tilt down, the camera will go all the way from 0 degrees to 90 degrees. This means that the only way to get a partial tilt of the camera is to flick and release the lever as quickly as humanly possible. How this got past quality control is a mystery to me. While I continue to hope for an eventual firmware update to the controller to implement a slower tilt control, another issue has come up, which has prompted me to write this negative review. After having owned this drone for only 9 months, and used it for perhaps only 10 days during that time, I just noticed today when I went to charge the battery, that it has swollen and no longer fits into the drone's battery cavity, not to mention that it is no longer safe to charge to begin with. And it turns out that the warranty provided by Holy Stone is only 30 days after purchase. And a new battery is $60. On paper, this would appear to be a great feature-rich entry-level drone. Drone is very stable and capable. Easy to fly for beginners. Great camera as well. Battery life is as expected, approx 20 minutes with minimal wind. If I could improve it at all, I'd add mechanical image stabilization. I would consider this a moderate range beginner drone. Much more than a kids toy, less than professional. ... show more

The video quality is okay a dji drone has better. Performance was better the stability of the drone when in air wasn’t as good as dji either it would move around when ur not controlling it. The controls overall are pretty easy to use just takes a little practice. The size of the drone was as expected to be. Overall if you like good quality cameras and like stability longer transmission I would probably spend a little more on a dji drone ... show more

I have several drones now and this is one of my favorites. It has level 5 wind resistance(23mph), so it's pretty stable and it has about 30 minutes of flight time. The distance is really good and it keeps the signal well. It includes all the cables you need, for charging and also for connecting you phone, either iphone or android. It has several quick shots including spiral, catapult, one key ascention, panarama, slow motion, time lapse and gesture cxontrol. It also has tap to fly, circle fly, gps follow me and even visual tracking. It will automatically return to home if it loses connection or the battery gets low.
