ILong life,no swelling
I purchased a pair of batteries for my Holy Stone HS170 Predator from Holy Stone on Amazon after recieving it from my son as a gift for Christmas, and from previously having a few drones that I either destroyed or had flyaways, I wanted to have some extra batteries for flying it around the house until spring. They came in pairs for under 13 bucks,so the price was right.Well, spring is here, the drone still performs like new,and I alternated 2 batteries, figuring I would keep a new one for outdoor flying. The battery is skinny, and folded over,so it looks like 2 batteries. They also have some weight to them, which keeps the drone stable.Unlike the previous batteries in my other drones, they haven't swelled a bit,and last between 8 to 11 minutes.I've checked them with a voltmeter every so often after charging, and they're both at about 4.2 volts after charging. There appears to be no deterioration on either of them externally or internally, which surprises me,as I have a safety bag with way too many 3.7 volt batteries in it that are either swollen or just won't take a charge.I don't feel I abused any of them, they just crap out. This is a smaller drone than most of my other ones, but much bigger than a mini drone, you can see it from a pretty good distance outside. The drone and battery appear to have been designed to get maximum use each flight.I look forward to warmer days with not alot of wind to see just how long these actually last on longer distance flights. The quality and custmer support is excellent.

Super fun!
Color: Red
These are really fun drones, super easy to set up and they fly great. The lasers are cool and drone responses are as described. The lights on the drones are neat and I can see the battle play being super in low light or dark settings. The drones are resilient and took bounces off walls etc with no problems....absolutely a fun thing for kids!

Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2026 by Great little drone, love it!
I would still recommend it as far as performance
UPDATE: It is now Sept 18th, 2017 and Holy Stone has been in touch with me to see if they can send me another one or help in some other way. I give them a lot of credit for their continued efforts to make things right. I am no longer interested in the smaller drone I had bought these for; it was way too twitchy for me. Had I kept it, I would have gladly accepted their offer to replace it. Their customer service is FANTASTIC. I am sure the product in general is OK, but Quality Control failed on one of the two in the package. The connector had one hole that would not go on a pin on the matching connector for the quad or charger. Upon inspection it appeared to be a connector defect... no hole at all; it was completely covered by metal, as thought the metal insert of the connector had been inserted incorrectly during manufacturing. Probably a very rare occasion, Holy Stone seems to be very helpful if you need them... I would still recommend it as far as performance, but not sure about QC, which translates to down time if you need it.

Get a few of these to extend your flying time.
I bought a Holy Stone HS170 mini drone that I fly around my yard and it is really fun a drone. The only issue I have is the stock battery only last about 5 minutes, so I decided to buy a few more to extend my flight time. I have used the batteries 4 or 5 times and they work perfectly. They hold a full charge and take about 15 - 20 minutes to charge. They fit in the drone perfectly and since they are exactly the same as the one that came with my drone they don't affect the way my drone flies at all (some replacement batteries don't weight the same and can impact how the drone handles).

Holy Stone HS170 Batteries and charger adapter.
Ordered these extra batteries after reading lots of customers reviews that mentioned very short flight times. Got the batteries and the multiple port charging adapter for good price and Amazon delivered fast as usual. The batteries are very small and come wrapped in heat shrink tubing that's thick and protective, it also helps hold the battery in the quad since it's just a friction fit. First time charge I discovered that the charger adapter wouldnt work, no LEDs would light up unless you pressed and held the USB cable into the small plastic case really hard. Something seemed to be broken or loose inside the unit. Contacted Amazon and they offered refund. Since just a refund wouldnt let us fly I decided to open battery charging port expander and take a look. Found really bad soldering on the PCB and lack of anything to hold the tiny plugs together. Was able to resolder the connectors and glued them to the PCB with drop of epoxy. Unit now works and should last a lot longer than one usage. With a good quality 1A cell phone USB charger the batteries charge up about an hour. With a cheap charger adapter (the one that comes w HS170) they take lot longer than one hour. Get a good quality 1-1.5A cell phone USB charger and several batteries if you want to try to fly more than 5 minutes.

Batteries have been going strong
Not sure is I got the defective batch, but one of my batteries came bent. I am not going to attempt to charge it as I am just a little concerned about a potential fire hazard. However I am giving this 2 stars because the "good one" charges and performs well in my mini quad and it would have been 5 stars if the other arrived in the same condition. Update: seller reached out to me and offered a refund or replacement. I chose to get the replacements since the others held up and I have been using it for the past 6 months with no issues. The battery quality is great and it has not depreciate in holding a charge.

More flight time = happy 13 year old.
Bought these along with the Holy Stone HS170 Predator Mini RC Helicopter Drone 2.4Ghz 6-Axis Gyro 4 Channels Quadcopter Good Choice for Drone Training and glad I did. The flight time is short and these are a pretty cheap way to extend that time. My son loves the drone and is really thankful for the extra batteries. They're slightly higher capacity than what came with the drone but they still fit perfectly. Highly recommend you purchase these if purchasing the drone.
