The new version of the HS280 the HS280D is a great improvement. I still love my 280 but the 280D has some really nice upgrades. Brush-less motors have improved wind resistance and speed, also battery life. optical flow positioning {which works really well} helps hold the drone in position The camera takes some of the better pictures i have seen for1080p and the camera is electronically adjusted up and down from the controller and is really smooth. controls are responsive and crisp It flies really nice 2 speeds 1st is slower great for photo positioning or learning 2nd has some zip making it fun to fly. holy stones customer service is impressive they respond fast and will work to resolve any issues you have. all in all its a great little drone if your learning or just looking to add another drone to your collection for those concerned with parts or batteries i would contact customer service they have never let me down ... show more

I really like this drone. I have good gps models, but I this one is great for indoors or the backyard. Smooth slow controls. I've even banged it up a bit and there's been no damage. Nice drone to get started with and learn control. No problem connecting to the app. Easy to start up and fly quickly. 15 min battery. More quiet than most drones. When I started looking for a drone to kill spare time, I wanted something I could operate, afford, and crash without feeling it's a waste of money. The Holy Stone 280D fits the bill! It is very simple to operate but with enough of a challenge to hold my attention. Its priced reasonably to not break into my stash funds, and it is durable enough to withstand the few crashes I have already completed.
