Review Image by Sarah Mitroff
This fan has made a huge difference in lowering the temperature of our bedroom. The outside air is cold at night year round, but my bedroom window faces towards another house, so there’s no wind to force cooler air in. I got this to pull outside air in at night and it’s done a fantastic job. The airflow is strong and noticeable. It can lower the temperature of the room by about 5-10 degrees (depending on the weather). Some things to note: Only the 2020 version allows you to control each fan independently to exhaust or intake. I didn’t realize this and was bummed out. If I need to change the air flow direction, I can just flip the fan around, but I hoped I could do it with a switch. It’s a bit loud on High. That brown noise old-school fan sound. We didn’t like it at first, but our brains quickly tuned it out. If you’re sensitive to sound, this might bug you. It fits great in a horizontal window and the extender works great. The temperature settings work, but I did notice that the fan can switch on and off repeatedly if the outside air temp matches the indoor temp. Overall, BUY IT. It’s great and I hope it holds up. ... show more

    • Good quality and moves decent amount of air.
Comes with everything needed for window, including accordian curtains, I use for cooling electronics, but would work in window as intended; low and high speed.

    • Works Pretty Well, Room for Improvement
The fan was really easy to set up and install. You don’t even need the extender panels which block the open window and the fan can easily be put up and taken down as needed. I really like that there is an exhaust built in and you do not need to cycle through different modes. I purchased the digital display rather than the manual, and I wish I had bought the manual display instead. The thermostat on the fan doesn’t work because it is built into the unit. I am using this fan to cool my apartment in the winter because my building uses radiator heat and it will get up to 85 degrees in my apartment even with my radiators turned off. However since the thermostat is built into the unit, the temperature controls always default off because it is 20 degrees outside yet 80 degrees inside. Because of the way the digital display is set up, I need to click the button 11 times to switch from low to high, or to go from high to off. If I had known this I would’ve purchased the manual display which is just a switch to change speeds. Despite the drawbacks of the thermostat and display it is still a good unit as it really effectively cools my apartment and is quiet enough watch tv or sleep when set at high or low speed. ... show more

    • **1/2 and 1/2 **
This fan is amazing!!! i can keep it on exhaust and not freeze out my wife but still have enough circulation and noise so i can sleep. 10 out of 10 would recommend but............ WHAT EVER YOU DO...... DO NOT BUY A USED LIKE NEW FAN!!! ** I first ordered one that was supposed to be "like new". i was flabbergasted at the fan the company sent. It was horrendous!!!! 1. the fan was dirty like it had been used for 6 months !! 2. when i plugged it in i heard a pop and saw a spark..... I un plugged it and the cord almost came off of the fan...it was hardly attached! I am so lost as to why a company would think it was ok to send a fan to a costumer in that condition. dirty i could have delt with but it was unsafe to use..... ... show more

Annoying speed setting, but only have a low and high. You also have to cycle throughout the temp to get to the setting you want. It’s good for the price though, the speed of the air flow is nice. And due to how you have to set it up, it’s pretty stable. Doesn’t come with a controller, or mines didn’t. ... show more

    • Works fine with caveats.
Kind of awkward but gets the job done. Noisy even on low setting. Does not balance upright on its own and needs to lean or the wind will blow it down, the side thingies do not provide any stability.

    • A purchase I don’t regret.
I use this in the night time a lot and boy it moves enough air. It’s powerful. I open a second window to help more air be pulled in the room. I have a screen on my window and it fits perfectly fine. I don't like the temperature settings on it, it doesn’t really work well. Just put it in the window if you need outside air and keep in on high. It’s basically plug in play on hot easy it is to setup. Best bang for ur buck. ... show more

    • Portable fan cools room or shed quickly.
Fan fits window snugly and expands to fit multiple window sizes. Noise level is low. It cools or exhausts nicely. Quality unit is easy to operate. Electric plug in type. Multiple power levels. Value for money.
