As a content creator I knew good audio was important, and after trying other microphones these Hollyland Lark M2 became my absolute favorite. They attach magnetically to your clothes so you don’t need to hold them — you can also clip them to anything you’re holding, which is super useful for different types of videos. They also come with a necklace cord if you prefer to wear them around your neck, great for recording while working out or moving around. The windscreens that come with them block external noise really well. The difference in my video quality when I started using these was immediately noticeable. They come with two receivers — one USB-C and one Lightning — so they work with any phone regardless of which port you have. Battery life is incredible. I’ve had mine for over a year and only charged them 2-3 times. You just charge the case and it keeps the mics charged. They also come with stickers and emojis to decorate them, two windscreens, and two microphones. Everything you need is included. Genuinely my favorite purchase for content creation!!!

I am a full-time content, creator and videographer and have owned pretty much every wireless mic system that has come out in the last five years. the problem I was trying to solve is finding one that was reliable enough and had a battery life long enough to shoot all day. I also found other options too heavy as I often clip mics onto my T-shirt. When I found the Hollyland Lark M2s I was attracted to them because of the magnetic mount and the size of the mic. It was small enough not to pull and tug on my T-shirt and allow me to inconspicuously place it on anything I'm wearing. Here's why it has become my go-to mic for daily video content creation. Mic Size & Mic Mount At about half the size of other wireless mic systems. I am shocked at how good the audio is compared to the size of this mic. The receiver was almost, and with the magnetic clasp can be stuck on any style of shirt, or even the bill of a hat. I love the fact that they also have stickers that you can put over the logo so the simply looks like a black circle. My favorite mic design ever. Always Connects With other mics, I felt like I was always checking to see if audio was recording diligently before the beginning of shoot. With these, I rarely do that because they always connect and always begin recording without any issues. Phone Connector I do most of my shooting on my Sony A7iv I do occasionally pick up my iPhone to record bits and pieces. The USB-C and iPhone connectors make a huge difference. They connect seamlessly and I don't ever have to worry if audio is being captured or not. That's really the theme of these mics. They connect without any issues and always work without fail. Battery Life Even though I use it every day, it feels like I only need to charge this mic once a month. I have to remind myself to charge it up before I go out on important shoots because I'm not used to needing to charge. Also since I typically only use one mic, since this system has two I always have a back up that I can connect if my main mic dies. Carrying/Charging Case I love how small the carrying and charging case is. Smaller than even the DJI mic systems I have owned. this makes it easy to throw in my camera bag and even easier to get out and use. It's barely bigger than my AirPods case. Summary If you are a content creator, then this is absolutely the best wireless mic option that I have found. For the price, it's truly unbeatable. In professional settings, people are blown away at the size and performance. This will be my mic of choice until something revolutionary comes along and knocks it off the throne. But whatever that is, it must truly be revolutionary. That's how much I love these mics.

These microphones are freaking awesome! I particularly like to use some when I had to go private dance lessons in a studio where I record me and the instructor. They do an exceptional job of just catching our voices even when there’s loud music going on around and other instructors with a lot of echo. But these microphones made just our voice is super clear! and they lasted forever as far as charge goes! I gone up to two hours using them and didn’t have to charge them once in that time and quality was consistent throughout that whole time. I love the convenience of having the little pack and being able to use both the old iPhone lightning charger or the USB-C. The magnets are pretty good as long as you don’t smack them which we have done a couple times and then they would fall off, but that’s understandable. I will say that when they did fall, they didn’t break and Anytime that we actually rubbed up against the microphone with our hands or her arms or anything there was never any feedback or distortion of sound. These are truly great and have worked wonderful for my purposes. I have used it in separate rooms and it’s worked well and I’ve gotten a good distance away as well and they were just perfect super easy to actually get them to sync up and start nothing to download, which is nice and just simple to use great value for the cost and can be used for so many different applications. Definitely recommend these.

I ran across this looking for a microphone that would work with the iPhone 15 Pro WITHOUT having to mount a huge receiver and extra cables. I actually ordered something different then ran across this. I immediately canceled my other order and bought this one. First of all, the audio is great. Sounds very warm and it rejects unwanted sounds really well. BUT if you need even more background noise rejection, you can turn on noise isolation by clicking the yellow button on microphone one time. If you have the phone receiver plugged into a phone, clicking the yellow botton two times starts and stops the camera. That's way more handy than you'd think. The size....oh man the size. It's TINY!!! I literally forget that it's on my shirt which is great for me because I like to move around a lot when I film. Lowkey, something they included are stickers to cover up the Hollyland logo! If you don't want the white logo (which I don't think looks bad at all) you can cover it up with white stickers, black (which I did for one) or even emojis. I did one with an emoji because why not! Everything doesn't have to be black and serious all the time. Why not have fun with the small, round shape of the mic. The camera receiver works perfectly. I love the knob on the top that allows me to adjust the mic level without going into the camera settings to adjust the gain. You should still adjust the camera gain but for a quick adjustment, it works fine. The phone receiver works perfect even with a case. And it's low profile enough to work in a phone gimbal and not throw off the balance to bad. It comes with SO MANY mounting options for the mic. You can use button magnets, clips with magnets on the back (I assume you'd use this for a thicker shirt or maybe when wearing a jacket) and it has a magnet necklace. The instructions recommend placing the mic near the lapel area so that's what I've been doing. Everything about this produce oozes quality. I bought this with my own money and they did not ask me to write this review. I'm just really passionate about products that do a job and do it to perfection. Downsides so far....none that I can see. Sure, it doesn't have 32-bit float audio but if you are in a semi-controlled environment this is a non-issue anyway. Maybe the higher end (larger) mics sound a little better but the freedom of having such a small setup allows me to focus more on the film process since the mic just gets out of my way. I think having creative freedom (your gear gets out of the way) is way more important than the minor technical differences between gear. I haven't filmed with it yet so all my observations are from the testing I did with it as soon as I got it. Check out my Youtube channel "Nick Leads" where you'll see this thing in action a lot more!

These have taken our content creation to the next level so simply. They are truly easy to use via connecting them to your phone and wearing them with versatility. The size and quality seems just right. The quality of sound is vastly better. We chose to buy these before going in Studio and spending those kinds of funds. I am so grateful that we decided to stay at a DIY level by using these as a tool as well as some in-home purchased lighting and a few other tools. This is exactly what we needed, and I’m sure suitable for amateurs and professionals alike. I also want to mention that there were cheaper options available, but I am glad we chose to spend a bit more and get even better quality, because that will affect our content over the long run, and it was worth the extra expense on the front end.

The only issue I have with the design is that it is incompatible with my iPhone case; the case is too thick, and the receiver has to insert directly against the iPhone. (If anyone has a recommendation, please leave it in a review!) This does present problems for someone who uses a protective phone case and relies on their phone as a primary recording tool. However, I have zero other issues with the product. The Hollyland Lark M2 microphones and receiver connected seamlessly to my iPhone 16 Pro Max and work well for A/V recording. The product was charged upon arrival and functions as intended. I did exhale strongly one time at the beginning of a recording, and the microphone caught the sound very strongly, but it was easy to clip out. I haven't worn out the battery yet, but the fact that it arrived charged and hasn't required recharging after several uses is impressive. The box claims 40 hours of battery life, which is phenomenal. The box is reasonably sized. Although it wouldn't fit in a small purse, it is excellent in a camera bag. It is not too heavy if you're already handling recording gear. I have not used it in tandem with my Nikon Z6III, but I doubt there will be any issues. The product came with two receivers, one USB-C and one Lightning style. The microphone itself is small, discreet, and aesthetically neutral, and it comes with a lanyard if it needs to hang rather than be clipped. The lights indicating pairing mode, paired/on mode, etc., are intelligible and well-designed.

5 stars. I own a good amount of lav mics (the DJI Mic 2, $30ish Maybesta type wired lav mics, Shure MVL wired lav, and Sennheiser XS wired lav), and the Lark M2 wireless mic is my go-to mic to pair with my cell phone for family videos and chill vlogs. I love using it when I'm out with my partner or friends on a trip and want good sound quality for both of us and just turn it on and forget about it. If you vlog on your cell phone or want great discreet audio, I strongly recommend this mic. Pros: - Discreet (about as wide as a nickel) so your mic doesn't ruin your shot or drag on your shirt. Wearing the other big boxy lavs kind of makes it feel to try-hard or too professional for a family/friend vlog plus those drag down your shirt. I find those bigger lav mics take people out of the moment a little because then it feels like a "production" - Lightweight - Pretty good sound quality - much better than the internal phone mic - Good battery life (I'm not sure of the exact number but I've worn it all day from like 12 to 8pm. I usually leave it on without worrying about recharging for the whole day which is very nice. I usually plan for at least 6 to 8 hours) - Nice magnet to adjust where you put it on your shirt - Charging case is nice and tiny to bring along - Hollyland provides stickers to cover up their logo which I appreciate vs some other mics that do not give you this option xp - Plug and play, no software needed Areas for Improvement: - Wind muff makes it look huge so I bought a <$10 small wind muff with built-in adhesive that's about 1 x 5mm and stuck it above the small mic opening. It works pretty well under moderate outdoor wind and is discreet but will distort slightly under strong wind - Not as much warmth/bass/lower end fullness on male voices (sounds good overall though and great on female voices from my videos), although most casual users probably can't tell - 2 mics are in the same single audio feed (can't be split out into 2 separate channels) - this is fine for my run and gun cell phone videos. Tip - if you're using it with two people, place the mic in the same spot for both people or adjust accordingly if one person speaks louder Nitpicking: - Need to turn my cell phone to wired mic every time I turn on the phone (which is probably just an issue with my Pixel 8 Pro phone specifically) - No bells and whistles like 32 bit float (don't really need it if you set your levels well), or back up channels. I don't need it or expect it at this price point but some people may care For professional videos where you need more full range sound, 2 channels, back-up audio, 32 bit flight, time code you might want to pay up and move up into the next level for the fuller range sound quality, but for family videos and cell phone vlogs you don't really need that stuff (if you don't know what I'm talking about you likely don't need it haha), this mic is by far my favorite mic. I use it a ton now, probably more than any of my other lav mics. Happy recording!
