  • REAL REVIEW - 4 Stars is the new 5 Stars - Seriously stop reading this review and buy these mics!
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: Black
If you are wondering if you should buy these mics - STOP WONDERING and hit that purchase button. These mics are well built, the case is well built, and the entire mic/receiver/case kit just work great plain and simple. If you have bought cheaper mics before (like the $40 set I did), don't waste your money again - GET THESE HOLLYLAND mics/kit instead you will not be disappointed. We have used them for YouTube work now for a few months and they are SOLID, easy to use and work very well. Mics are clear (that was a big worry as we had bought cheaper mics and they were so-so sounding), and the noise cancellation works well too. The case has a battery built in so you keep that charged and the mics/receiver charges off the case when you put them back into the yellow/black case. I have not tested the distance but there are videos on YouTube of people going a football field's distance and them staying connected - most I have ever done in distance is 30' or so and they work well, stay connected and sound awesome the entire time. The kit comes with a TRRC equipped cable (if you do not know what that is look it up) as you will need this to connect to most smartphone/adapter/SLR camera/etc.. to ensure you have audio being fed into your video recording, and for the few dollars it is worth buying a few extra of these cables to have on hand (don't forget about a USB-C or a Lightning adapter if you are using Android/iPhone to record) as this does not come with either adapter. ... show more

  • Thoroughly Impressed
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: Black
I’ve been utilizing video for my own social but also work with the communications team that has commercial grad equipment. I was (personally) using a very cheap $15 mic and this is an incredible upgrade from that. I mean they’re not even comparable. That being said, I think they are comparable to some of the commercial grade equipment our production team has used, the noise reduction works well, the audio is clean and clear, and they seem to have good range. I will update this review in a couple weeks when I get more use, but my out-of-the-box impression is very high! ... show more

  • Better than expected; as good as my Rode Go
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: Black
I purchased this because my Rode Go was clunky on my blouse and I would have to use an additional mic. I wanted something easy to use. I got this based on the reviews. And WOW was I pleasantly surprised! I did have to fiddle with the settings a bit so that it recorded both channels when plugged into my camera (I had to set it on mono on the receiver). However, it was completely plug and play with both my phone and my tablet. And honestly, I think the sound is better than my Rode Go at half the cost. I love the recharging station, and the carrying case. Makes it so handy and as I was looking for: something easy to use. What a pleasant surprise! Oh yes, and the noise canceling does a great job without distorting the sound. It is a great buy. ... show more

  • Good, but has some DEFINITE quirks
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: Black
I've had good luck with these mics, but any user needs to be aware of a couple of design quirks: 1. FORTUNATELY, the receiver DOES actually fit into the hot shoe flas slot of a DSLR camera. I never saw that in the description, so that was a nice surprise. Thought I was going to have to find an adapter for that and almost didn't buy the mics because of that. The PHOTO in the mic description shows the mic receiver off to the SIDE, not mounted to the camera? Why? Silly. 2. The design of the clip on the mics is dumb. Unless the person being mic'd has a shirt pocket, you have to mount the mic SIDEWAYS. WHY not have a different clip design so the mic is pointed TOWARD the speaker's mouth. If you clip the mic to their shirt collar, the mic rubs against the person's skin and creates' noise. NOT GOOD. The mic works, but the clip makes the mic look funny in the video and makes it harder to find a good spot to clip the mic to the person speaking. 3. YOU MUST connect the GREY part of the mic cable into your phone/phone adapter, otherwise you will get a VERY VERY noisy audio recording and the noise cancellation will not work. I learned this the hard way, so BE CAREFUL. It's very easy to accidentally do it backwards and since you can't monitor the audio being recorded in a phone WHILE you're recording, you may end of with unusable audio. So be careful and do a test first. I have a little written note that I keep in the mic case so I don't forget that very important detail when I'm getting set up. Otherwise, the unit seems to be solid and a good value. Just be mindful of the quirks I mentioned. ... show more

  • this really works great
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: Black
I am pleasantly surprised that this product really works GREAT. Well thought out and easy to use. I needed it for online meetings to input the meeting sound to a laptop and the receiver plugged right into the laptop sound card with the provided cable. Supposedly it also will input directly to mobile devices but you have to buy those cables extra and I haven't tried that feature yet but I'm sure it works just as well. ... show more

  • A perfect flute pickup!
Size: 2TX+1RX Color: White
These things are more versatile than advertised! They make wonderful flute pickups, and I'm sure they are good for many other instruments. Although it is said to be omni-direction, I find it to be very directional, which is good. It picks up strongest in the desired direction and has very low tendency for feedback. It resists mechanical noise - picks up no key noise from the silver flute. I use elastic hair bands to attach them to various flutes, silver and Native American. They sound great! I use a commonly available adapter to supply a 1/4" plug for my amp. The performance and the whole design are very pleasing - Remove the parts from the case and they turn on automatically. Replace them in the case, and they turn off and recharge from the battery in the case. Open the case and they charge, and you see a light on each device to indicate charging or full. Close the case, and they stop charging during transport or storage. I used an adhesive strip to mount the case to my portable amp so nothing is likely to get lost. I'm impressed! ... show more
