  • WOW - get this mic set up
I have a site called Drumming News Network, I have filmed interviews with drummers, filmed concerts, for years. Lugging all of that gear around is difficult, sometimes you need to do an interview on the fly - so now I use my cell phone, I tether it to this unit. You can quickly clip it onto your subject quickly and easily, it's ready to go. The distance works well. I have broadcast cameras, mixers, microphones, and wireless lapel mic's, and if you are running-and-gunning, or need to throw a mic and get to it - this is the system. The sound quality is really good, and sensitive. I was in a loud setting with drums, people yelling, and had to do a quick interview with two subjects. i was 2 feet from them and could barely hear a word they were saying, I had the mic's set to low (approximately 1/3 turning of the volume knob) and they were picked up perfectly, this system must have a nature noise canceling or filtering feature that I didn't know about. But I made a mistake, half way through the interview, because they were talking so softly I turned up the volume, bad idea, the mic's are so sensitive that it distorted the interview to a point it was unusable. Check your levels first if you can, I had just gotten this unit, flew to California to film this event, literally walked through the door and asked to do immediate interviews with artists and was filming within 10-minutes. I never used this unit, plugged it in, and started shooting. I filmed for 2 hours, including walk around interviews and this rocked. When the levels are set right (remember keep levels low and do a quick check), it sounds nearly pro, and coupled with an iPhone (using a Apple Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter) the image looks great. Crazy. Worth the purchase.... ... show more

  • GREAT! Until It's Not..
I bought this system in January of 2022 to replace my old Rode lav kit. I was really impressed initially by the quality of sound that I got from the Hollyland paired with my Sony camera. Fast forward to April of 2023; one of the transmitters just gives up. This is following one of the lapel mics giving out shortly before. Of course there's only a one year warranty, so I'm stuck with one transmitter, one lapel, and a receiver and charging box. The verdict; it seems like you're saving a good deal over buying a Rode kit, but from my experience Rode kits tend to last. If there's one thing I can't stand it's a manufacturer that build products that are intended to only slightly outlast their warranty period. Hollyland seems to have hit the nail on the head with that one. ... show more

  • Great product and it gets the job done
Works well once I got it working. I did several tests with no luck. My video had no audio. It turns out the connecting audio cord it comes with did not work at all. Defective. I found another one and hooked it up. Vuala! It worked. All in all a great product for the money. Iblove the ease of charging. Less cords to use! ... show more

  • Excellent value and super versatile
This wireless system is amazing. First, you have a charging box and two transmitters that if you are recording one person at a time, will easily get you through a day of shooting. Along with this, I personally prefer to use the safety track feature and use one mic and that way you can record and have a -6db backup track if you peak the main track. Really, this solves most of the problems recording directly into a DSLR. Also, with the current state of production, this is a good choice to use with zoom. Using the built in mic with the lapel you don't have to wire up so you can avoid having a mic in your face and you are not tethered to a specific location. Clip the transmitter to a laptop and plug it in to the mic port and you're set. The small size of the transmitters and receivers has to be seen in person to really believe it. They are all tiny and perfect for using with your camera of choice and won't add much weight to the gimbal. The value for the money is well beyond any of its competitors and that's coming from someone that has used Sennheiser wireless mics for years. ... show more

  • Love it
This is really a great product. My wife an I like to make videos and this is a fantastic way for both of us to comment on our adventures. The sound quality is great. For us we are generally in close proximity so distance has never been challenged but I am very happy with my purchase.

  • Lark 150 / 1 mont review
I have been using it for almost a month. A friend who works as sound recordist (sound mixer) adviced me to buy it because I was looking for an easy and effective solution for my work. The base to charge batteries is something that you really appreciate and makes you feel even more confortable. It is small, light and comes ready to use. The sound it gives you is clean. And if you need any help to know how to use it, there are a lot of videos in youtube about this product. Costumer service got in contact with me, yo tell me they were scheduling the shipment to help it come a little faster (and it did :). Pd: I give you 4/5 because time is key to get to know a product, and for now it has only been a month. ... show more

  • Survived COVID hybrid teaching
I bought this to teach a hybrid in-person/Zoom class during the COVID pandemic. I only needed one audio mic channel for this. But it worked well with the main receiver connected to my Mac laptop's audio jack. I've also used both audio mic channels for recording interviews, and it worked well in this situation too. There is volume control/mixing for individual channels on the main receiver. I didn't realize this when I bought it, but the case it comes with has a battery and recharges the system when you put the mics and receiver in it. Very smart. ... show more
