I bought this because the "Arrow" brand of USA sheds does not make an 8x12... My concrete pad was obstructed by a gas meter so I wanted a narrow unit to fit the space. I tore down an older Arrow shed, so I was familiar with how a steel shed is put together. The old Arrow was a clunky, wobbly and LOW ceiling 10x12 and despite all attempts to save it, it ended up in the scrap metal bin. I read all the reviews, for every shed option in north america (that wasn't wood) and they all said the same thing; "the holes don't line up!!!", "assembly is a drag", "instructions are horrible" etc, etc. So I was ready for a fight but confident in a win because of my recent tear-down practice. 1. Can this be done in a day? - NO - more like a week when working alone 2. Do the holes line up? - NO - but the included drill bit did the job 3. Is the included hardware up to the task? - NO - Phillips head screws are a PITA 10% failure rate when torqued, it would have gone much faster with self-drilling hex head screws. I gave up after 30 screws and bought 200 REAL sheet metal screws 4. Does the pad need to be perfectly level - NO - be creative and make it work, I lifted the low corner, installed a drain pipe and packed with concrete 5. Are the instruction good - NO - but just dope it out and be creative 6. Upon final assembly you will discover that the white trim on the roof lines needs about 30 extra screws installed to keep it from flapping in the breeze, the extra screws will add rigidity anyway 7. Door handles are stout but the door panel is weak. Aluminum is better, so I made my own handles and riveted backer plates 8. The header bar over the door is the weakest spot (snow load) that I could see, so I riveted aluminum angle to it as a preventive measure 9. Using the supplied plastic crush sealing washers on the side panels felt like a sacrifice of rigidity so I left them off. Hopefully no corrosion issues pop up because I left them out Overall it turned out better that expected, is solid, with smooth doors, I'm 6'4" and can stand up in the middle which is so much nicer than a lower height unit, and looks good on the property, at a very reasonable price. ... show more

**Update** The company reached out and did do everything they could to help make things right. And I appreciate good customer service. Hopefully they work hard to fix the issues. This thing is cheap. First off, check the sizing. I of course went off the 8.5 x 13 and thought that's what I was getting. Went ahead and got a floor set up for that size as well. IT IS NOT THAT SIZE. It is an 8ft x 12ft shed. They are claiming those extra ft/in because "the roof hangs out that far". Second, every piece of metal is so thin you can bend it in half yourself. As we were installing a wind gust of less than 5 miles an hour bent some of the panels. THIN! Third, the instructions are atrocious. The booklet is not in a plastic bag, so if your boxes get wet the instructions are getting wet. However they put the metal screws in a bag for you. These instructions show you absolutely nothing except how not to set it up. And last, nothing fits together! The metal is too long, or not long enough. Or the screw holes are too big and the screws fall out. My favorite is the fact that their screw holes don't line up correctly so you are constantly drilling into the metal, but because the metal is so thin, its fairly easy to do. Our building is mostly up, we just have to fix the floor now and pray a good gust of wind doesn't blow this down like in the three little pigs. ... show more

Great shed but the protective cover is so cheap that it rips so easily and you’re stuck taking small pieces of plastic ALL DAY off the panels. Take longer to take off this cheap wrap than to build the dam thing and it wraps around the paint so after 15 min of taking the wrap off you’re stuck with 2 very small pieces of protective wrap on each side another huge waste of time taking it off as it will always rips especially if it’s hot out. Something so simple honestly added such an unbearable amount of time and work to the build. Wish the protective cover was THICKER that way easier to remove and won’t rip ... show more

We bought the 8.5ft x 13ft but the building, measured on the outside, is only 8ft 2in x 12ft 4in. That's quite a bit off from the description but we've been able to adjust and make it work. We are turning it into a chicken coop and need all the square footage we can get but since the building is already put together and in place, we won't be returning it. ... show more

Assembly instructions were essentially useless (super small / indistinct pictures and no "narrative" to go along with instructions) A video link showing how to assemble this shed would have saved me several hours trying to decipher how to put this thing together. Good for price, expected quality for price. Instruction book could be better. Panel thickness should be thicker as well. I added treated 2x4 base with 2x6 floors for it to help anchor it down and provide a solid level platform. This is at least an 8 hour job for 1 person not including base i built. I also was short on hardware for some reason. Going to install the final roof trim pieces after I get more screws. ... show more
