    • Good for a mini snow emergency
The same day this item was delivered I tore into the package to use to "dig" a path for our home's sump pump hose. Snow was still pretty high and the sump pump was working over time on the quickly melting snow, to avoid getting stuck in more snow moving through it, I used this hoe to pull snow toward me and place the hose in the path I created. NOT what this tool was intended for but hey it came in handy. Now it works in the garden very well. I'm short at 5'4 and I feel no gross strains when using this. As I mentioned, the snow was melting fast. There was very uneven patches in the backyard that have been easy to try and remedy by tilling. That has helped break up the compacted soil and will be easier to go in and seed to get some grass going. Putting the pieces together took less than 5mins, it's not a super heavy tool but the tool head has the most weight to it. Another great add on to my garden tools. It is easy to assemble, multiple feature in one which I like. Light but sturdy not for heavy duty thought. If you going in for hard soil you will have a hard time.

As i write this I realized that i can remove different levels and make the hoe shorter as a hand tool if needed! Id say keep it out of the rain i feel like the metal could potentially rust and with how shiny it is it would show really easily

My new favorite garden tool! In just a few minutes I was able to hoe, hand till, and rake dead plants & roots out of an area of about 30 square feet. I really like that this tool is versatile in length & use, and is durable without being too heavy. We’re expanding a bed in front of the house & I’d been dreading removing the dead grass & weeds that we had sprayed. It’s boring & can be back breaking but this made it a snap. It also made it easier to separate the soil from the roots being removed so we’re not losing that precious resource. You can see a small pile of some of the debris removed in front of the hosta & between the day lilies in the pic. It’s almost all debris & very little soil. Highly recommend! ... show more

This combination hoe and cultivator tool is a great design. I got the longer version and that was the smart way to go, because it is so versatile. You can actually make the handle three different lengths. Depending upon the job at hand, this really helps. The overall construction is very good. The handle is hollow, but the steel is very strong. It would take quite a bit of force to dent it or bend it. The stainless steel finish looks like it should hold up great. The head is solid and it cuts easily into the soil. This is one of my new favorite garden tools! It makes hoeing and digging so easy. All I have to do is turn the hoe upside down and I have a tiller or vice versa. The handle is long enough to use comfortably, although my tall husband would prefer a longer handle. The handle grip is non-slip and makes it simple to use. I can't believe how useful this is. I'm kind of a beginner gardener and wish someone would have told me a hoe is still useful. I've developed countless hoe jokes as well that leads to audible eye rolls from my partner, and that alone makes this worth it. Price is great. Functionality is great. I have actually used this a lot since getting it, and no signs of wearing down or that the quality isn't great.
