Description

The Hodedah 2-Door Armoire with 2-Drawers is constructed of sturdy, durable, top quality wood. Features a laminated finish in a variety of colors. It has two doors that easily open to a spacious wardrobe. Behind two doors, it is equipped with a hanging garment bar that is the width of closet. The bottom of the closet has two drawers which have metal runners and safety stops that will keep the drawer firmly in place when it is fully opened.

All of the above - not good in quality, sturdiness, assembly, and definitely a waste time and money. We opened up the super heavy box. Everything is made with cheap particle board, so many of the edges were chipped or the white paint already separating. Tapping in the hard, plastic dowels with a rubber mallet made the boards crack, then when trying to follow the instructions, many of the pre-drilled holes were either backwards, on the wrong side of the board or missing all together. There were a couple pieces where the white paint had been applied to the wrong side of the board. When my husband and I tried to stand the shelf upright (the instructions have you start it laying on the ground flat to build) all the screws ripped through the particle board, completely damaging the majority of the shelf and us getting scraped up a bit. I have put together a wide spectrum of furniture from high quality to not the best, and this was the absolute worst piece of furniture I’ve ever bought anywhere. Now I have a huge, heavy pile of broken particle board that Amazon wants me to repack and lug somewhere to return it (even though it’s totally ruined) and I’m out a good chunk of money. I’ve learned my lesson to stop buying cheap furniture off Amazon. ... show more

I read the reviews and I am glad I read them after I bought it. We had no issue putting it together with the instructions. It took just over an hour and we were just taking our time. If you have a gap on the doors when done, there is an adjustment feature to fix that in like two minutes. Ours had the gap, a little adjusting, perfect. We are using it for a baby closet so the size is fine but I could see how adult hangers would not fit. I would buy it again. Perfect for what I need and the cost. Got my order today and there was no instructions provided. I had to Google the brand to find similar instructions just to end up frustrated and it doesn't say where the big chunky piece goes. I assumed it was for the base but it didn't fit so I just scooted the top into it and then added some support on the bottom so it didn't fall forward. It needs two people to put it together at first and altogether 3 and half hours to put together and place. I didn't want to believe all the bad reviews because I'm on a budget so I bought this and I can say this was the most complicated thing to put together on our own. It's good for what the purpose is but I wish I had a bigger budget to get something worth all the frustration that this caused. Pieces chipped off when the nails didn't keep the pieces in place. The box that is shipped is very heavy. I had to take it in the house one board at at time. You definitely need more than 2 hands to build this. I had to recruit 2 extra hands and feed the mouth that came with the hands as payment; but once I had the help I needed it was easy enough to put together. This product was a horror story from the very beginning. Upon opening the box, the very first piece I saw was broken. Not only was the piece broken in half, but the remainder of the piece was NOT in the box, which purely tells me it was packaged this way. I honestly should have re-taped it and returned it the moment I saw the broken piece but instead after reviewing the instructions I realized it was a piece that meant to be in the back and would be unnoticeable. So after committing to the build, I spent multiple hours over the course of a few nights assembling every single component of this design, which was not easy for one person, even an experienced person at that, to build this item solo. Once I completed building the full piece, I set it up and went to hang my jackets inside only to realize that the item is not wide enough for a standard hanger. Again, something I should have paid more attention too but figured a hanging wardrobe armoire would easily take a standard hanger size. So after discovering that it would not be suitable for the one reason I bought it, I figured it would repurpose it. Although after moving it from one floor to the next, the design was so cheaply and poorly designed that it started to dissemble, by this point I was so done with the item that I literally trashed the entire thing.
