First thing I wanna say is, because of the packaging, it can get REALLY messy. Like, the styrofoam went EVERYWHERE, so have your vacuum on hand if you're not very good at taking things out ever so carefully. Second, before you put the cabinet together, go through the instructions booklet, and just do a simple check off list before you start building. I know some people on here said it didn't come with all the parts, so just do it for the sake of not getting half way through building, and finding out you can't finish it. Once everything is checked off and accounted for, and you've got the mess it makes cleaned up, as long as you follow the booklet, and check to make sure you're using the RIGHT pieces (one of my pieces was misnumbered so double check), it is really not that difficult to put together, definitely don't miss the pre-assembly bit like I did the first time, and check to make sure you're dowels and door springs aren't going to fall out because they will (they'e not attached to anything, they just sit in the hole to make it sturdier) One more helpful tip; when you're first putting it together, the middle support to the bottom half is the FRONT of the cabinet, so when you're putting it together make sure everything is facing the right way so you're not taking it apart and putting it back together again. Having and allen wrench head or bit to a power drill or an L wrench (which it provides) is also very helpful, cause you'll be screwing a lot of those in. Overall, it is beautiful. Holds everything I need it to in my very small kitchen, and is sturdy. It is really not all that difficult to put together. Side note; there was a little bit of damage to a corner, but barely ANYTHING to fret about, and the handles are plastic. So be careful screwing those in or you'll strip the holes on the inside of them. ... show more

This is not a solid wood custom built cabinet. It's cheap particle board from Malaysia that you put together and pray you have all the pieces and the holes line up while you try to make sense of picture only instructions. It's not for the weak or the rich. Once you accept that, you can see the beauty in this. It's under $200, and it sturdy and pretty enough to serve it's purpose. I now have matching cabinets and more storage in my kitchen and I love it! I was able to put this together myself with little help from my fiance. I like putting things together and have experience from other build yourself furniture. This is definitely one of the easier things I have built once I got past being overwhelmed by all the pieces because it looks intimidating. There were a few pieces here and there that I put on upside down or backwards, and it's sturdy enough to take the screws out and redo it. On the small microwave cart: the only flaw I noticed was that the board was chipped.. not a big deal, I don't even remember where it was. On the cabinet with doors:, the top doors don't line up evenly because of where the predrilled holes are. But everything open and shuts just fine, I don't notice it too much anymore. On the tall microwave cart with glass doors on top: I had to get the fiance to drill in the screws and stuff that secures the glass because there were no prefilled holes. It was an easy job for him and the glass is very secured to the doors now. Assembly time was approximately 3 hours with two people. Not all parts needed a second person. Objective was to do the project during the toddler's nap, and he woke up when I was nailing the back panel on. Close enough. Our Styrofoam was particularly fragile and messy. Try as we might to keep it in the box as we unpacked the pieces, it went everywhere. We vacuumed the area after unpacking and then twice more to get it all up (included in the assembly time I gave, as it was part of the project). It was not difficult to put together, just had a lot of pieces. The pictures were clear enough. The doors and drawer all fit relatively straight and even, so it looks fine. I bought it hoping it would work as a place to feed the cat (he's 18ish lbs, for size reference) and it seems just right, plus it has enough storage for his food and bowls, which will let us reclaim the sideboard for storing other kitchen stuff. I gave it four stars because it was a bit scuffed up (the front of the top doors is pictured as an example), but nothing was broken or missing or misaligned. The drawer bottom is thick cardboard attached by nails and screws to the bottom of the sides, so it should not be used for anything particularly heavy.
