I love this wardrobe/cabinet and it's exactly what I needed. I bought it for my home office to store my work uniforms and for extra storage. I got it in the matte black finish. It looks sleek and stylish. Easy to keep clean. This was a BEAST to put together I did it mostly by myself but needed help putting the 3 larger pieces together. The only things I would improve are the instructions and labeling of the pieces. The instructions were not difficult to understand but I needed a magnifying glass to read some of it and I'm guessing these instructions were meant for other models as some pieces listed in the instructions were not listed in the parts list at the beginning. My other gripe is that easy peel orientation labels would have helped, I did struggle to figure out which end was top and bottom in the pre-assembly section. All in all it took me about 6.5 hours to put it together. The product itself is 5 stars but the instructions and assembly pull it back to 4. ... show more

Well first of all I downloaded the assembly instructions that they linked to this product and it's for a TV stand not the wardrobe. So I found the instructions online and followed it exactly. The door where the shelves go wouldn't fit. The instructions aren't clear so you basically wing it and the double doors when you shut them have a gap where they should meet. Not sure if I just got one that was cut incorrectly or what but I did not like how it turned out. But since it was a gift for my sister in law for her new baby I gave it to her anyway because it came the day before I needed it. Very unsatisfied with the turn out. ... show more

We bought this Hodedah armoire back in June 2022. Having used it for two years now, we can attest to the fact that it holds extremely well. Assembly (by two people) took time especially since we didn't have much space to move around in. So we took it easy and put it together over several days spending just a short time on it each day. Upgrades: We added an inexpensive full-length mirror bought for under $10 from a big-box hardware store on one side. Since there is too much space between shelves on the left-hand side, we added four adjustable shelves (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GVD3VYB/) which worked great. The only issue was that while they were not very deep, given the size of this armoire, they were too deep to allow you to add two in a row which would have made them the perfect solution. So we recently went back to the hardware store and bought a single wooden Closetmaid shelf in black and had them cut it into four pieces and used these to replace the locker shelves using self-adhesive shelf brackets for support (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C54T8RHW). We used black stain to cover up the exposed edges of a couple of shelves. What can I say? This armoire is perfect now! ... show more

Don't buy this item until you have two or three adult helpers to assist you in the assembly. You'll need two people to figure out the instructions---no kidding. There are only 3 pages of directions but so many tiny words, arrows, etc. are crammed into each page. The type is a photo copy and it is very circles with as much as 3 or 4 part numbers in the circle, and, of course, with all of those numbers and all smashed into a tiny circle is unreadable. AND there are so many parts that the entire sheet is a mess which could not be read by anyone. This is the third day I've spend trying to literally find where just any two pieces will fit together. Here is how the manufacturer fu$#@d that up. This is all shared with the assumption that when this is assembled it will be a high quality piece of furniture. 1- If you take a part, convert it to line drawings and PUT ONLY ONE ITEM AND DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO ASSEMBLE THAT ONE PIECE TO ONE OTHER PIECE, THEN TAKE THE REST OF THE PAGE WITH LARGER FONT WITH THE DIRECTIONS AND SHOW WHAT THE FINISHED PIECE LOOKS LIKE. 2- NO SMALL WORDS AND NO SMALL DRAWINGS. Then the next piece goes to show how one more piece is assembled with the first part. Then one more page, large illustrations and VERY CLEAR PHOTOS, DRAWINGS AND COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THAT PART. Make the drawings large and easy to see in great detail. No more numbers, letters and words in the dozens of tiny circles. To conclude: Order this only if you have considerable time to assemble it. There are two major issues with this product: 1) Quality - warped and crooked panels. Assembly was a pain because of that and side panels and doors are still bent after the assembly. Not a pretty sight. Very cheaply made. Plastic door and drawer handles. Hinges are so thin, one can bend them with their fingers. 2) Drawers design - it's a huge waste of space. 3 inches of depth is wasted (drawers are not deep enough to fully utilize available volume) and drawers height is half of what it could be.
