Description

The HobbyZone Sport Cub S 2 is based on one of the all-time most popular RC trainer aircraft ever designed for learning to fly radio controlled airplanes - the legendary Sport Cub S. Its ultra-micro size makes it the ideal choice for a smaller trainer model that can be flown in yards, parks, soccer fields, football fields and other suitable spaces where larger models can’t typically be flown successfully by first-time pilots. Exclusive SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology helps prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully. Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced modes allow you to choose the level of stability and control you need, or are ready to try, at the flip of a switch. The Bind- N-Fly Basic version (HBZ44500) is the perfect choice for RC pilots with some existing experience, because it allows them to use their own favorite Spektrum transmitter along with batteries and chargers they may already own

  • Excellent RC Trainer and Park Flyer
I'm an experienced RC pilot and still carry my Sport Cub in the car. It is great for smaller places and also for letting friends fly their first rc plane, under my guidance. The beginner mode with gyro is extremely helpful.

  • This is a very cost effective RC plane for a beginner and indoor flying
This plane is easy to fly and very cost effective.

Update: After requesting for a replacement, Amazon sent me a new Club free of charge. After binding the plane, it flew great! Did not have the same issue as the one before it. The plane itself flys great and glides really nicely. Great beginner plane! The only issue I have noticed so far is that the plane does not give you any kind of warning to a low battery. As soon as the motor is dead, there isn’t even enough juice to operate the flap servos to land smoothly. Thankfully the crash didn’t damage anything. (First review: I bought this plane as a late birthday present for my brother to enjoy around his place. The plane itself is the perfect size and has a nice quality feel to it. Having 3 spare spectrum transmitters, I figured BNF would be the way to go on this. However, after trying three remotes and several binding options, I can NOT get this plane’s elevators to move at all. Throttle/ wing servos work fine with all remotes I tried, but the elevator servo is entirely unresponsive. I hate giving bad reviews, especially on this brand. (Considering the great luck I’ve had with em in the past) But I can’t give 5 stars to a plane that can’t fly :( ) ... show more

  • Read this if you are about to buy this plane!
Just know this plane is great BUT there are two types of this plane. 1 RTF that stands for (Ready To Fly). 2 BNF that means (Bind and fly) so you have to buy every thing else separately. Rtf means every thing is in the box and ready to fly. AND BY THE WAY THIS BNF NOT RTF so don't cry if You got this for a gift thinking every thing was in the box. ... show more

  • A lot of fun and a good first tail dragger or indoor airplane.
I have flown this one outside and have seen it flown indoors and it performs well but be warned, it can't handle winds over 7 MPH but on calm days it is a lot of fun outdoors. The stabilization system helps a lot in trickier situations even for more experienced pilots and with it disabled basic aerobatics such as loops, rolls and flying inverted are all possible. Personally I do recommend 250 mAH cells for extended flight times and the motor does wear out because it is brushed but replacement is easy and replacement motors are available. ... show more

  • Very durable, with few exceptions
I have it for couple years, flying once a week or two. Lot of fun. I had to put some tape on wings after first or second fly though. Noticed cracks that appeared in corners where ailerons are attached.

  • Excellent flyer for novice or pro.
I picked this up because it was a great deal but I did not expect much from it. Boy, was I wrong. This is perfect for someone wanting to check out flying and has all the features to have a positive flight. It is also great for the pro when at the flying club when you just want to buzz around and have fun without setting up a larger, more expensive plane. I very happy I made the deal and bought it. I won't fly it every week but it's there when I want to. ... show more
