- Compact and capable carry light on the field The size of the ESC is only at 54.836.838.8mm, with a maximum output current of as high as 200A. In addition, the full-sensored drive mode is strong, explosive, has stable output power, and together with an excellent low-speed linearity, the ESC meets various application requirements in competing at high-end in the 8th scale category.
- FOC braking mode, enhanced braking experience The ESC is running on the (FOC) braking mode but supports the traditional square wave (BLDC) braking method as well. The FOC braking mode is similar to the brake effect of a real car and is not affected by the motor speed. It eliminates the problem users face when using the traditional BLDC braking mode. The influence leads to the problem that the force is not linear; in addition, the FOC brake mode supports the curvature adjustment of the brake force to adiust the force distribution of the front and rear parts of the brake.
- Excellent hardware design combined with innovative smart freewheeling technology enables the ESC to have higher drive efficiency and lower operating temperature. Compared with the XR8 Pro G2, the maximum temperature is reduced by approximately 15C, and the ESC is stable and reliable.
- Frameless fardurable The frameless fan blade is designed with the use of specially formulated material to reduce the defective rate of the fan caused by impact from small stones, sand and other foreign objects.
- Intelligent fan start/stop, noise reduction and power saving The fan of the ESC does not work when the temperature is low. The fan will automatically turn on when the temperature rises to the pre-set value. The intelligent start and stop function of the fan not only reduces noise, saves power, but also ensures that the ESC works in a good temperature range.
- Advanced Boost & Turbo Timing Technology The XR8 Pro G3 ESC performs the best when it is paired with the recommended HOBBYWING motor. It inherits the same Turbo Timing technology used on the XR10 Pro series used in 1/10th On-Road and Off-Road competition. This ESC is able to support up to 48 degrees of Boost and Turbo Timing. There is a 50% increase in performance and is only recommended to pair with the new HOBBYWING 4268 4274 G3 motors.
- Built-in reverse polarity protection circuit, reinforced protection The ESC is reverse polarity protected. In an event when a user makes a mistake by reversing the polarity, the ESC will not be broken.
- Real-time data recording function, easy to obtain power running status After connecting the OTA module box, turn on real-time data recording function to access the operating status.
- Capacitor Thermal Protection Capacitor thermal protection is designed and implemented into the ESC and will effectively prevent capacitors from exploding and causing irreversible damage to the ESC due to overload.

There are 32 built-in adjustable parameters to set various power requirements. The parameters can be imported and exported, which is convenient for drivers to communicate with and learn from each other. Support the firmware upgrade of the ESC (The multi-function LCD G2 programming box or OTA Programmer is needed to purchase). You can enjoy the latest functions. Built- in switch mode BEC with a maximum output of 12A and 6V/7.4V adjustable for usage with servos & other devices require different voltages. The built-in reverse connection protection circuit of the ESC avoid the damage to the ESC due to reverse connection. Data logging function to view various running data on the HW LINK app using the OTA Bluetooth module.

We shall see.
Im not sure yet we shall see I have alot of hobbywing stuff most of my rc stuff is hobbywing but so far 8th scale stuff not so happy we shall see never a problem with gen 2 or 10th scale gen3 this is number 2 if needed I will got back to Gen 2 spend an extra 50. Fingers crossed.

NO REVERSE WITHOUT $30 PROGRAMMER
Using this in my 1/10th scale LCG slash 4x4, stays nice and cool, and wasn't too much bigger than the stock ESC so it fits well. Kinda weird tho randomly shut off a couple times... And it wasnt even close to hot and battery was still full... Need to do more research. Also it comes with FWD/ BRAKE ONLY, NEED their $30 programmer that supports the new ESC's firmware... the $10 one does not work. so overall not sure... Kinda scummy making you pay extra for reverse... Castle ESC does same stuff just as well for same price and has reverse out the box... Plus the issue where the car stops working?? Not sure I could recommend this over a castle..
