  • Not For Younger Kids... This Was Challenging
I had a lot of struggles with this one. This requires a Raspberry Pi and some knowledge about programming and setting one up, installing software, etc. Geeky stuff. There are tons of videos out there to help get started, but a lot of them provide inexperienced tutorials that can be discouraging. Without getting into it, setting up and building the robot was easy. Getting it all to talk and communicate took more than one, two, or twelve attempts to work. And it's been fussy still. Once working it was really cool project, my daughter was super impressed and asked me to make her a robot to do her chores... This is a display piece now for my nerd stuff. It's easy enough to set up and demo, and all the pi config for the robot is on its own mSD card so I don't have to mess with all that again. Little expensive, very challenging, and highly rewarding. ... show more
