I ordered this yoga mat in black. It is a great size for using at home. Although it comes with a drawstring carrying/storage bag and a strap that wraps around both ends to keep it rolled while also functioning as a carry strap, I can't see too many places that you'd want to take it to work out with unless you know you're going have a lot of space (most of the exercise/yoga classes I've gone to, space has been at a premium). The quality feels good. It does curl at the ends a bit but I think that's to be expected and could be managed by rolling it alternate ways between uses. You can always use the side that won't curl up on you because both sides are non-slip, which is a thoughtful design. The thickness is adequate for most of the things I'm going to use it for - it's a fine balance with an exercise mat where you want it to offer enough padding to protect yourself from the hard floor, but you don't want it to be too padded or squishy or it will affect your stability. I think this mat strikes a good balance. I didn't notice any overpowering odor when I opened it the first time, either, but I also don't tend to be horribly sensitive to that. Overall I am quite pleased with it and think that I will get a lot of use out of it. ... show more

This yoga mat has me spoiled beyond belief! It is large enough that I can use it for so many different exercises and stretching techniques and thick enough to give me the needed protection from a hard floor. I try to keep myself on a routine of yoga and do a lot of stretching. It is so nice to be able to stretch fully with plenty of room, rather than having to focus on mat position. The thickness is perfect because although the mat is lightweight, it provides plenty of protection when doing floor work. The mat is big and comes in a carry case with a mesh middle so the mat can air out between uses. The carry bag has a long carry strap, which makes carrying this no more cumbersome than any other mat. About the size, it's big. I use mine at home and don't attend classes with others, so I like the extra room. However, if your class or gym or whatever is crowded or pressed for space, you may want to ask about the size etiquette before rolling this bad boy out. ... show more

My first impression was, "Wow! That's a huge box!" The mat was shipped in a box two-and-a-half feet longer than it required. When I took the mat out of the box, I was impressed by its size. It looks like something you would put under a treadmill or a golf cart. As for the quality of the mat, I expected it to be a little thicker with more cushion for the price point, but it suffices for its intended use. I do really like the fact that I do not have to scoot from one edge of the mat to the other to transition from one stretch to another. It has plenty of room for all positions, and it fits nicely in the space available on the area rug in my living room. I like the carrying bag for storage. I have to make sure the mat is rolled tightly or it's difficult to put it in the bag. Overall, I like the mat and will use it almost every day, but I do think the price could be a little lower. ... show more

This is by far the nicest yoga mat I own. None of my old ones can compare with the size, the feel, or the non-slip underside! I'm no yoga master, but it's soft and comfortable to be on in just about every yoga pose. I'd be happy if the floors in my house were all this material! I can't speak on the cost, because I've never purchased a yoga mat that was even similar in price. The only downside is how easily it attracts dust. There's a slight static pull to it, and it'll pick up any dirt or hair you put it near. I think most yoga mats do that though. I love this large yoga mat! ... show more
