I got these because I knit and my regular yarn snippers aren't big enough to snip the thicker yarn. These are the perfect solution. They are sharp, they open wide enough to cut thicker yarn. The sleeve is nice to keep from accidentally snipping things that I don't mean to snip. They were very well priced. They are a smooth cut as well.
