So the back comfortably fits my 13' inch computer - and actually has more padding then my old one which is so nice. I haven't been in a position to test the water resistance, but the material gives me hope. For the colors, I'd say you are getting more then you pay for (IN THE BEST WAY!) because it's so cute and the colors are perfect! If you have shoulder that get irritated easily or carry another bag on a shoulder, this should be perfect because the straps are so thick and soft on the side that would rub against skin which is amazing! It fits quite a lot of my materials for school (and I tend to take my bag everywhere so the lightweight material and padding is a HUGE plus!). If you carry a LOT of books and other stuff, you might find it "small", but I need something that will discourage me from hoarding in my backpack so I see it as a plus. I love the inner pockets, so perfect for organizing. The two top straps (the hand held function when you don't use the larger straps) are so secure and it's lovely. Since I carry my backpack pretty much everywhere, this feature is great to me. The strap on my last bag (a JanSport) was so flimsy and this is a huge improvement. For the price this is basically theft to be honest, really good quality and functionality for a really low price. Overall, perfect for someone who isn't looking to carry a brick on their back but isn't quite minimalist enough for the "mini" backpacks. Also pretty dope of you are wanting it for organization, as again, the bag offers the utmost compartments without encroaching on your main bag space.

I was a little on the fence about this bag because I couldn't find anything about the company at all but the other reviews were so positive, I gave it a shot. Honestly this is the best small backpack I've ever had! It's sturdy and has the perfect amount of pockets. I compared it to my Fjallraven Kanken backpack and it barely stacked up to this bag. First of all: padded straps - thank god! They don't dig into my shoulders or give me friction burn. Second: pockets!! Where the Kanken is horribly lacking in organizational elements, the Himawari has a beautiful compartment system. Third: back padding. I don't entirely mind that the Kanken doesn't have any back padding because I rarely carry my computer in it, but now that I have a bag that does have this padding, I'm really loving it. My 13" macbook and little LG tablet fit nice and snug together, but not so tight that they get squished. Fourth: price. I'm so impressed with the quality of this bag that is a fraction of the price of the Kanken, as well as the Doughnut brand backpack that this bag seems to be an imitation of. I was considering get the Doughnut bag in Macaroon but price different is incredible for essentially the same product. I'm super blown away by this bag! My only qualm is that it doesn't have one of those secret back pockets for your phone or wallet. Also, for this particular color, the "grey" is actually a little purplish. My phone camera doesn't quite pick it up, but it's more of an steely purple. I really like it but some might not.

I love this backpack, I bought it to replace my old backpack from Highschool since I was using it for college. But I wanted a new one for more space and I love it sooooo much. It is super water proof (I live in WA but go to school in SF) so it rains everywhere and my laptop and everything is always so dry and never wet. It is a pretty wide backpack so it fits many things . My laptop fits fine but I can’t fit a “normal” size umbrella on the sides or the backpack without it bulging but that’s fine. On the outside it just sticks out a bit. There are so many pockets on the inside and they are really useful since I use them for art supplies or for small things for when I’m traveling back home for the holidays. Kinda sad the side pockets are kind of tight for water bottles but they do fit. Just a tight fit. The straps are super comfortable and it stays pretty clean with the material.( pink color)

I do like the color and style. The inside compartments are also useful (though I worry the constant opening of the velcro pouch might eventually pull at the velcro fasteners). I have not had a chance to use it in the rain, so I can't speak on that. My one annoyance is the outside compartment. In the video it showed a snap closure. Maybe that was for a different size. My small one has a buckle closure which is unwieldy and takes too much time to go in and out of. If I leave it open, items might fall out since the pouch isn't very secure. I wish there was an easier/quicker way to fasten it. Other than that, I like it.

This backpack honestly exceeded my expectations. I read so many good reviews which is why I got it, and I'm glad I did! It really is worth the money. It has many compartments to store things in and it's a very good size for school/work. I got this to carry a sketchbook and art supplies, which fit well. It looks like it can definitely fit a small laptop and/or iPad. It also feels very sturdy, like it can carry a decent weight without feeling like the straps will snap. It is well made and designed. Such a pretty backpack :) I definitely recommend it!! Worth the money.
