I was a little on the fence about this bag because I couldn't find anything about the company at all but the other reviews were so positive, I gave it a shot. Honestly this is the best small backpack I've ever had! It's sturdy and has the perfect amount of pockets. I compared it to my Fjallraven Kanken backpack and it barely stacked up to this bag. First of all: padded straps - thank god! They don't dig into my shoulders or give me friction burn. Second: pockets!! Where the Kanken is horribly lacking in organizational elements, the Himawari has a beautiful compartment system. Third: back padding. I don't entirely mind that the Kanken doesn't have any back padding because I rarely carry my computer in it, but now that I have a bag that does have this padding, I'm really loving it. My 13" macbook and little LG tablet fit nice and snug together, but not so tight that they get squished. Fourth: price. I'm so impressed with the quality of this bag that is a fraction of the price of the Kanken, as well as the Doughnut brand backpack that this bag seems to be an imitation of. I was considering get the Doughnut bag in Macaroon but price different is incredible for essentially the same product. I'm super blown away by this bag! My only qualm is that it doesn't have one of those secret back pockets for your phone or wallet. Also, for this particular color, the "grey" is actually a little purplish. My phone camera doesn't quite pick it up, but it's more of an steely purple. I really like it but some might not.

So the back comfortably fits my 13' inch computer - and actually has more padding then my old one which is so nice. I haven't been in a position to test the water resistance, but the material gives me hope. For the colors, I'd say you are getting more then you pay for (IN THE BEST WAY!) because it's so cute and the colors are perfect! If you have shoulder that get irritated easily or carry another bag on a shoulder, this should be perfect because the straps are so thick and soft on the side that would rub against skin which is amazing! It fits quite a lot of my materials for school (and I tend to take my bag everywhere so the lightweight material and padding is a HUGE plus!). If you carry a LOT of books and other stuff, you might find it "small", but I need something that will discourage me from hoarding in my backpack so I see it as a plus. I love the inner pockets, so perfect for organizing. The two top straps (the hand held function when you don't use the larger straps) are so secure and it's lovely. Since I carry my backpack pretty much everywhere, this feature is great to me. The strap on my last bag (a JanSport) was so flimsy and this is a huge improvement. For the price this is basically theft to be honest, really good quality and functionality for a really low price. Overall, perfect for someone who isn't looking to carry a brick on their back but isn't quite minimalist enough for the "mini" backpacks. Also pretty dope of you are wanting it for organization, as again, the bag offers the utmost compartments without encroaching on your main bag space.

I just received my bag and I am SO excited. I found a similar one at Target but it was a lot more and I couldn't swallow the price tag. I did not even know a bag like this existed! I feel extremely old. Although I am no longer a college student, I am a full time employee who's schedule changes daily. Having something that I can carry my computer and other items comfortably, is a huge plus! I would normally carry my purse and a regular backpack with my computer in it, but with this bag I can organize it neatly and be able to find everything I need in a timely manner. With a regular backpack everything would be in one HUGE packed and I hated that. So the fact that I can carry everything I need in one back while also being stylish is awesome. Also, I live in Florida so I wanted something that would protect against the random downpours we have if I am walking somewhere. I have not tested it out but it cant be worse than my previous backpack. The last thing that I love about this bag is that its big enough, yet small enough that I can take it with my on trips without it taking up much space. I am so excited to bring this to work with me tomorrow and I can't wait to use it while I go back to school to get my masters.

This bag is awesome, I would say that this size is more of a medium size bag. The only thing I wish is that for there to be another large compartment to put additional stuff in. But I’m mainly going to use this bag for work or when I’m traveling, etc.

I love this bag. I decided to get an iPad last semester so now I don’t carry many books or notebooks around. If you’re that type of person, this backpack will work great for you. I don’t think it’s meant to carry tons of weight. I also feel like it would be the perfect Disney backpack. The material is thick and seems sturdy. I’m carrying: 1 MacBook Pro 2015 13”, 1 iPad Pro 9” & Apple Pencil, 1 medium umbrella, 1 one-subject 8 ½” x 11” notebook, MacBook charger, iPad charger, pencil case, a TI-84 Plus CE, and a bunch small stuff in the flap pockets. The only annoying think I noticed while opening the backpack [picture #10] is that sometimes the zipper gets stuck on the piece of fabric that’s meant to cover the zipper. I know they put it there to hide the zipper, but it’s really bothersome to have to use both hands to open your book-bag and have to unstuck the zipper every time you open it. Otherwise quality is great so far except for the one thread I found sticking out of the zipper hem [picture #11] but it’s really no big deal. Love my bag, and pins!
