I bought these at the end of May and used them ONE TIME last week. They are broken. The teeth kept catching on the edge of the other blade and was cutting notches into the blade, extremely soft metal and now they will not even close. I didn't even get 1 full use from this product and I'm outside the return window. Shame on this company!

I have a little 15-lb. dog with long hair, and I bought these for two reasons: to trim the hair that grows between her paw pads, and to shape up the very scraggly hair on her ears that never looks neat, even freshly brushed. These work reasonably well for the latter task, and they do make shaving her paw pads easier after trimming down the hair a bit. However, I find that, because the shears are SO big -- both in terms of length but also in terms of the width of the end -- it's hard to really do any finesse work on the paws. I found it easier to just use the electric clippers for everything on her paws, as I'd been doing. I do like that the end is blunted, so I'm less likely to stab her with them, although, again, they're somewhat unwieldy to use, so accidentally catching skin in between the blades is still a concern. I'm not in any way trained to cut hair of dogs or people, so this is my experience as a rank novice.

These lock open and are useless to me. There’s a barcode on package to scan if you have difficulty. Barcode took me to a You Tube video of hands holding tip of scissors and talking you can barely hear in a foreign language. I returned.
